We had a severe thunderstorm roll through about two hours ago. Naturally, I grabbed the camera and started recording out the back door.
It's dark so you can't see anything most of the time but you can   more...sure HEAR it so turn UP the volume. Occasionally you can see some lightning. The little light that bounces around most of the time is the light on the front of a house a block over.
Yeah, I know some people might find it lame that they can't see anything. But remember, it was dark and I could barely see anything either. The only way I could see was from the little bit of city light that was reflecting back from the clouds.
Not being able to see much of what's going on is what makes it more nerve wracking. Believe me, my nerves were wracked after this one. Took me a couple hours to get calmed back down.

Anyhow, the wind came up and started snapping tree branches, a power transformer blows out (at 2:20 in the video) and you can see a dim flash from that and hear it. It makes a popping sound and then a loud electrical buzz.
Then a HUGE, CLOSE bolt of lightning that hits shortly after scared the crap out of me (@ around 3:40 into the video).
After I recorded this video I came into the living room and found the front door had been blown open and rain had blown in half way across the room.
This storm spawned several tornado WARNINGS.
