Cesc Fabregas toe-poked a late goal to cancel out Steven Gerrard's first-half free-kick as Arsenal moved back to the top of the Premier League.

Gerrard struck on seven minutes, while Liverpool keeper   more...Pepe Reina saved from Emmanuel Adebayor and Tomas Rosicky's lob was cleared off the line.

After the break Emmanuel Eboue hit the post and Fabregas fluffed the rebound.

But Fabregas equalised on 80 minutes and later hit the post as both sides remained unbeaten in the league.  less

Crouchy hat-trick vs Arsenal

A brilliant individual goal from substitute Yossi Benayoun gave Liverpool a hard-earned victory against Wigan at the JJB Stadium.

The Israeli latched onto a through ball from Jermaine Pennant and dribbled   more...past Titus Bramble before finding the net from 10 yards in the 75th minute.

Striker Fernando Torres was guilty of wasting good chances for the Reds.

Wigan should have levelled the score in stoppage time but striker Julius Aghahowa missed a close-range header.  less

Liverpool 2-0 Inter Summary

Liverpool left it late to take control of their Champions League tie against 10-man Inter Milan and ease the pressure on manager Rafael Benitez.

Marco Materazzi harshly saw red on the half hour for two   more...clumsy challenges on Fernando Torres, but Inter held firm.

Torres forced a superb save from Julio Cesar, while Patrick Vieira was lucky not to concede a penalty for handball.

But Dirk Kuyt eased home nerves with a deflected shot on 85 minutes and Steven Gerrard's firm drive sealed a fine win.  less

Yossi Benayoun grabbed a hat-trick as a rampant Liverpool beat Besiktas to keep their Champions League campaign alive.

Peter Crouch slotted in after his first shot was saved to open the scoring.

Benayoun   more...took down a cross and lashed home before twice side-footing in after John Arne Riise and Steven Gerrard had strikes parried into his path.

Gerrard powered in a shot, Ryan Babel backheeled in a deft goal and then deflected in a Besiktas clearance before Crouch nodded in for an eighth.  less

Blackburn and Liverpool shared the points in a tightly-contested match.
Rovers should have been in front by the interval after twice hitting the woodwork through David Bentley's effort and David Dunn's   more...wonderful shot.

The game was more even in the second half, and both Christopher Samba and Dirk Kuyt could have done better for the visitors in promising positions.

Late on Brad Friedel twice saved Steven Gerrard shots, Peter Crouch went close with a header and Kuyt missed badly.  less

Fernando Torres capped a fine display with a hat-trick as Liverpool dumped Reading out of the Carling Cup.

Yossi Benayoun fired Liverpool ahead, but Bobby Convey volleyed an equaliser from Nicky Shorey's   more...corner.

Torres raced clear to score but again Reading hit back when another Shorey corner was prodded in by John Halls.

But Torres made sure of their place in the fourth round when he slammed home from a John Arne Riise square ball and then ran clear before slotting home.  less

A strupid video I made for Spanish class

An injury time goal from Fernando Torres has saved Liverpool from defeat and given them a deserved 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Barclays Premier League at Anfield on Sunday.

It had looked like   more...the Reds would slip to their first league defeat of the season when Robbie Keane struck either side of the break to cancel out Andriy Voronin's opener, but Torres rose highest at the far post to head a stoppage time leveller that made Anfield erupt.

The game had started well for the Reds when Voronin gave them a 12th minute lead, but they failed to capitalise on chances to increase their lead and Keane's goals put them in trouble before Torres' rescue act.

Rafa Benitez made five changes from the side that started against Marseille. Jermaine Pennant was available again after suspension and their were also recalls for Alvaro Arbeloa, John Arne Riise, Javier Mascherano and Andriy Voronin, who started up front with Fernando Torres.  less

Roman Pavlyuchenko scored a late winner as Tottenham came from behind to beat Liverpool and haul themselves off the foot off the Premier League table.

Dirk Kuyt put Liverpool ahead when he smashed in   more...a shot on three minutes.

Darren Bent sliced a clearance against his own post before Steven Gerrard hit the post with a deflected shot and then saw his lob cannon back off the bar.

Jamie Carragher headed into his own net to give Spurs hope and Pavlyuchenko tapped in from Bent's cross to win it.

It was a remarkable turnaround for Tottenham, whose fortunes have been completely revived under the stewardship of new boss Harry Redknapp.  less

Birmingham let a two-goal lead slip against Liverpool as they were denied a crucial win in their relegation battle.

Mikael Forssell lashed in a shot at the far post to put the Blues ahead, with Sebastian   more...Larsson's exquisite long range free-kick adding to their lead.

But Peter Crouch guided in a shot to haul the Reds back into the game.

And as Liverpool penned the Blues back, Yossi Benayoun equalised with a deflected header, which all-but secures fourth spot for the Anfield side.

The point moves them nine ahead of fifth-placed Everton, who have three games left but an inferior goal difference.

Liverpool made nine changes to the team which drew 1-1 with Chelsea in the Champions League in midweek, although there was only one change from the second string side which beat Fulham last week.

There was little in the way of goalmouth action in the early stages but Birmingham slowly increased their level of urgency.  less

Goals from Jermaine Pennant and Peter Crouch saw Liverpool put a major dent in Fulham's survival hopes.

Pennant gave the Reds the lead against the run of play when he was put through by Lucas Leiva and   more...he took Kasey Keller by surprise with a powerful early shot.

He then turned provider to set up Crouch to score with a low drive.

Fulham were restricted to mostly half chances, with midfielder Danny Murphy going closest with a shot denied by Pepe Reina's legs.

Victory strengthened Liverpool's grip on fourth place - they are now eight points clear of Everton with three games left - but Fulham are five points adrift of safety and staring relegation in the face.

Reds manager Rafael Benitez caused a storm a year ago by naming a weakened side that lost at Craven Cottage and went a long way to keeping Fulham in the top flight.

With a Champions League semi-final again occupying his mind, he made eight changes.  less

Fernando Torres' superb individual goal and a Steven Gerrard penalty pushed Liverpool up to fourth as Fulham again imploded in the last 10 minutes.

Liverpool endured a frustrating afternoon as they were held to a goalless draw by Fulham at Anfield.

The best chance of an even first-half fell to Robbie Keane, but the Republic of Ireland striker shot   more...straight at keeper Mark Schwarzer from eight yards.

Fulham were not just content to soak up pressure and Andrew Johnson and Jimmy Bullard both tested Pepe Reina.

Liverpool dominated the second half but failed to capitalise and remain second behind Chelsea in the table.

If Rafael Benitez's side harbour serious ambitions of challenging for the Premier League title this season, however, then they will need to perform better than they did against the Cottagers.

Before Saturday's encounter the visitors had collected just one point on their travels but they turned in a disciplined and confident performance and for the first half at least, looked capable of adding three more to that total.  less

Robbie Keane and Steven Gerrard both missed open goals before captain Gerrard headed in substitute Fernando Torres' cross with 18 minutes left.

Bolton's Gary Cahill had a header ruled out for a foul and Ricardo Gardner missed two good opportunities.

The win ensured Liverpool maintained the pressure on their rivals as they seek their first title since 1990.

Bolton were outplayed for long stretches, but mounted a spirited effort after the break, only for any hope of a comeback to be snuffed out by Gerrard's close range header.

Liverpool kept Torres on the bench as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury but he emerged for the last 30 minutes to great effect.

All the other big guns were restored after a weakened side lost in the Carling Cup at Spurs in midweek.  less

Robbie Keane scored his first Premier League goals for Liverpool as they beat West Brom to go three points clear of Chelsea at the top of the table.

A combination of Scott Carson's body and Jonas Olsson's   more...arm prevented Yossi Benayoun's shot opening the scoring.

But there was no stopping Keane when he latched on to Steven Gerrard's pass before clipping the ball over Carson.

Keane scored his second goal when he rounded Carson and slotted home before Alvaro Arbeloa curled in a late third.

Keane will be delighted to get off the mark in the league, following his £20m summer move from Tottenham.

And the Republic of Ireland international took his goals well as Liverpool made sure there would be no repeat of the collapse that saw them lose a lead and fall to defeat at Spurs a week ago.

It helped that this time they were up against a team in West Brom who have not won at Anfield for 41 years.

Once Liverpool went ahead, it never looked as though the visitors would bring an end to that poor run.  less

Steven Gerrard's 76th-minute penalty kept Liverpool clear at the top of the table with victory over Portsmouth.

Gerrard scored after Papa Bouba Diop undid his side's resolute performance by handling a   more...corner in Pompey boss Tony Adams's first game in charge.

Until then, Dirk Kuyt's shot against the post was the closest Liverpool had come to a goal.

Yossi Benayoun was also denied for the home side after a last-ditch Sylvain Distin tackle before Gerrard's winner.

Pompey belatedly pushed forward in search of an equaliser after the goal but Liverpool held on for a win to stay three points clear at the top of the table.

However, it was a close call for the Reds after manager Rafael Benitez had made four changes from the side that beat Chelsea on Sunday.  less

Liverpool demonstrated their growing title credentials by ending Chelsea's 86-game unbeaten run in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge and moving three points clear at the top of the table.

Xabi Alonso's   more...deflected 10th-minute goal gave Liverpool victory and shattered a Chelsea sequence stretching back to February 2004 on home turf.

It was a deserved triumph for Rafael Benitez's side achieved without Fernando Torres and the first setback for the reign of Luiz Felipe Scolari at Chelsea.

Chelsea enjoyed long periods of possession, but Liverpool never flinched and could have doubled their victory margin had Alonso's second-half free-kick not hit an upright.

Ashley Cole missed Chelsea's best chance after the break, allowing Liverpool to record a victory which is of huge significance in terms of their confidence and self-belief.  less
