My acoustic cover of No More from the freedom album. I saw Neil Young do this at a 1990 concert solo acoustic and that is what inspired me to learn this song.

I recorded this video on 9/27/06 the day after my daughter was born. I was so happy that I burst forth with this song which I don't usually sing. This is a one take unrehearsed video that I feel captured   more...the moment and what I was feeling. You can see my hospital band on my left wrist!  less

My original song is climbing the Protest Video chart at Neil Young's website. It is now up to #20 (out of 260). You can help it go higher by going to the website and clicking on the link there. I guess   more...songs are rated by number of views they get.

Song is called "Where Is Your Soul?" and you'll see the link at #20. I am totally amazed that an amateur like me with just a simple microphone and acoustic guitar could get this high. It really does come as a surprise especially because this particular song is unrehearsed and just played from the gut. I have heard that Young likes that method of recording so perhaps that's why he chose the video for the list.

Yes the young fellow I am singing about is certainly conflicted. He knows he's leavin' soon but is afraid he will miss his girl but by the end of the song he has sorted it all out and is resolved and   more...actually glad to leave his girl. Such is life. Wrote this one in 1982.  less

I thought of this song, at that time, as sort of grabbing a piece of that time in our lives and memorializing it so when we heard the song in the future (which is now) we would always remember the good times and the songs that went with them.  less
