Title: Silly Boy

He's frustrated and debating
If I'm worth his heart.
He's simply tired of waiting
So he picks me apart.

In his mind, I'm not me.
And he's built me up to be
The girl who's going to save his soul
And a girl who thinks she's beautiful.

I find that we're both incomplete
Missing vital pieces to function properly
But before I go and admit defeat
I beg him one last time to "wait for me".

Can't keep up, he's moving too fast
My beautiful boy's pain is too vast
Always stopping to wonder if we'll last
With one foot in the present, and one in the past.
