He pedaled his bike, so Grandma wanted to see if he'd pedal another bike. Nope. He decided to be a bit silly instead.

Jacob pedals his bike really for the first time. Okay, it's not his first steps, but he's been 'Fred Flintstone'-ing it for years now.

A ride in a Jacob-sized train in Eau Claire, WI. Fun, but Jacob wanted to go back on the train for days after we left! (Sorry, you only see the back of Jake's head!)

It was scary enough when he first tried this. Scary now is that he can climb up all by himself. He likes the slide too, since it's pretty fast.

Jacob was a little chatterbox when he woke from his nap. I recorded this, just so we'd have a small reminder of how he talked at this age on a day to day basis.

Jacob plays a kind of keep-away with Aunt Celia, Cousin Tasha, and Mama. I don't think Elmo enjoyed the game so much, especially considering how close the fireplace was . . .

The train broke down right before we got there. We waited as they found the part that fell off the train (!!!) and put it back in.

Swimming at the Double Tree in Minneapolis. Jacob's playing the game he likes best: throwing the ball out of the pool, getting out, and throwing it back in. He's more comfortable in the water, and is   more...kicking and using his arms more.  less

Jacob was really looking forward to playing with Rowan again. Once again they had a great time together.

Jacob and Rowan enjoyed the evening together. I mean, REALLY enjoyed the evening. They're natural playmates. Here's a random moment of their fun.

Jacob found some balloons left over from a party in our church's fellowship hall. In fact there's a balloon that hovers perfectly at three feet!
