I discuss and perform a walk through of all the various gear I use while touring. The particular set of gear I am using for my upcoming trip will be used on a 10 day trip.

Learned something new about my bike in this one. If this doesn't demonstrate pretty clearly how useful the rear brake is, well, you're just not paying attention.

Decided to go out and spend a few minutes messing around in a parking lot. Did a few full-lock low speed revolutions around a streetlight, and a few emergency stops. The first two were done from approx.   more...35mph, the first without the rear brake, the second with. The second stop was approximately 20 feet shorter than the first. The third was done from almost 55mph. There's a surprise fuckup in there too.  less
