You need to exercise common sense to find out how the Politicians, Councillors, etc are robbing people for not paying taxes, taking bribes, etc but you catch a poor person whose needs force him to steal. No person of conscience would steal if he is happy with his lot. Here, it is worth mentioning the African and other poor countries where there is a custom that if a traveller is hungry, he is allowed with happiness to pluck fruit or food, cook, eat and go. The farmer would help him feed and even provide beer or other drink to entertain him so that both are happy, the stranger guest and the host. This is called philanthropy and it is of the realm of the Royal Kingdom of God Samaritan man who picked up the wounded person was extreme hospitality. It is only in the Mammon infested countries that people are not philanthropic or God orientated but Mammon. In Mammon, the soldiers kill innocent people for the expansion of Empire and if they die, they are proclaimed to have glorified God. Spokesperson for the Diocese, Eleanor Course said: Thats great that he is raising these issues because they are very real issues for people not just at Christmas, but people all throughout the year face extraordinarily hard financial problems. But to offer shoplifting as a way out of that problem is misguided and very bad advice. A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police also condemned the idea, branding it irresponsible, and insisting shoplifting is a criminal offence.
