L’Oréal Argentina, Fundación Huésped y la UNESCO, lanzan el Programa “Peluqueros del mundo contra el VIH/Sida” que se propone mejorar el acceso a la educación preventiva sobre el VIH/SIDA a través de los profesionales de la peluquería. Para tal fin, aprovechando la red de educación profesional de L´Oréal, a todos sus programas de formación se agregará un módulo sobre VIH/SIDA. El objetivo: colaborar a través de ellos con la difusión de información certera y conductas de prevención del VIH/SIDA. “L’Oréal toma la responsabilidad de movilizar su red de educadores en el mundo entero, utilizando su experiencia en la formación de peluqueros al servicio de la prevención del VIH/SIDA. Gracias a una capacitación clara e innovadora, el objetivo es aportar información práctica y precisa sobre el VIH/SIDA” declaró Jean-Jacques Lebel, Vicepresidente y Director General División Productos Profesionales. El proyecto es simple pero ambicioso, pues trata de mejorar el conocimiento y la comprensión de la enfermedad gracias a los profesionales de la peluquería. Los peluqueros tienen un gran poder de aproximación con sus clientes. El Salón es un local de encuentro, intercambios, discusiones, etc. Tanto los peluqueros como los clientes representan una población ecléctica, de los más diversos orígenes y clases sociales. Cada salón adherido contará con material informativo de prevención, cada uno de los cuales ofrece el número de atención telefónica gratuito que, gracias al apoyo de L´Oréal, tiene Fundación Huésped -0800 222 HUESPED- donde se puede ampliar la información recibida. “Desde Fundación Huésped trabajamos permanentemente en la formación de multiplicadores como estrategia de prevención del VIH/SIDA. We went to Peru in March of 2007.There,we befriended a young teenager from LIMA,PERU.His name is JAVIER ANDRES OTINIANO ZAMUDIO.He is 15 YEARS OLD and is diagnosed with TERMINAL CANCER(OSTEOSARCOMA).His   more...right leg was AMPUTATED when he was 14 years old.He has four other brothers.His grandmother suffers from THROAT CANCER and his little brother,doctors say,will have CANCER as well.His family is very poor as is shown in another video that we have.They have NO MEDICAL INSURANCE or government help.He needs chemotherapy treatments or he will die.Doctors say that he has 2 years left to live.Javier says to his mother "Don't worry about me,just worry about my brothers to have something to eat."Javier and his family live in one room at his grandmother's residence with very poor conditions with no bathroom.His mother is a single mother with five children.It is very sad the way they live.We have created this page for Javier.We are looking for anyone or any foundations to help Javier and his family.Javier needs our help so that he could continue to live.He wants to walk again one day with the help of an artificial leg and have his family come here to the United States some day so that they can have a better future .His wish won't happen unless he goes to his chemo treatments which they can't afford.Thank you to all who could reach out and help this young teen make his wish come true.PLEASE!!! leave any comments and suggestions in our quest to help Javier and his family.We also have a 30 minute video with Javier,his brothers,mother,and grandmother showing the way they live daily,in PERU.Video is in spanish audio.Feel free to email at PLEASEHELPJAVIER@YAHOO.COM PLEASE OPEN UP YOUR HEARTS TO JAVIER AND HIS FAMILY!!  less
