This was the first in my series of Naudo arrangement/transcriptions - hopefully Naudo won't mind! They are part re-arrangement, because I simplify and modify a bit; part transcription because they are   more...essentially a direct copy of Naudos work.

This one is of course the famous Queen number from The Highlander soundtrack. It is actually reasonably easy to play, I started working on it about a month ago. I still made a few mistakes, I was playing it way too fast, my tempo was off and I was playing very stiff (probably because I was in my shed and it was a cold night) - but I think you get the idea :)

A favorite of my wife, Janet, who reminds me periodically that I have not played it in a while. The timeless words to this were written in 1677 and the music did not gel until the mid 1800’s.

"Summertime" is actually a lullaby, created in 1935 for “Porgy and Bess” by Gershwin. Sometimes a short piece but it is sweet. I wonder if Gershwin knew how sweet this little gem was when he   more...wrote it.  less

In the mid 70s I would play this for my daughter in hopes that she would fall asleep. It is an 1784 Welsh folk song first published under the name of Bardd y Brenin (Edward Jones).

"Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care, And bids me at my Father’s throne"
The music to Sweet Hour of Prayer was created by William Batchelder Bradbury   more...in 1861 to accompany the words that were written by William Walford in 1845.  less
