...My best work to date.
So a few weeks ago I was digging through my DVD collection and I found a movie I used to love... Kill Bill Vol. 1. So, just for the heck of it, I put it in, and in that movie,   more...I found the perfect song.
Now, this was originally going to be a cool trailer thing for Avatar, but then I realized that Kill Bill really emphasizes its strong female characters, so I figured I'd do the same in my video. I would have included Mai and Ty Lee but this song operates in threes (how convenient!). So, it became Katara, Toph, and Azula, the daughters of the elements. All three are bending masters, possibly THE bending masters for their element (at least for their age group). And you just don't see many videos made for those three girls alone.
Oh, and the whole "red-stripe-with-an-eye-in-it" thing was inspired by the credits of "V for Vendetta", which I saw a while ago and I've been wanting to make a video where I could use it ever since. And the slight frame freezes after a hit were meant to be a slight tribute to Martin Scorsese's "Goodfellas", but the song is too short to hold the video in one spot for more than a fraction of a second, so... that effect may have been lost.
...I like movies.

SONG REVIEW: Cafe (Eurotrance Mix)

All the ambience of a busy cafe, sets the scene, with chatter and clinking glass, while in the background the hum of a plane. But is it arriving or taking off? We take   more...off for sure as the music breaks in and takes us away from the noisy hub-bub. Its airy and bubbly and changeable with different synth and keyboard sounds. And then we hear water, but is it a fountain or maybe rain pitter-pattering on the pavement? Either way, it has a romantic feel, and adds to our reverie. Then, suddenly the tempo alters, and we have a sequence shifting the pace and scene to a different beat. And as we follow, we get brought back to where we began. It's as if we left the cafe, drifted in different soundscape worlds, and then returned. It's like being entranced and transported elsewhere! Now where am I? Oh, yes, here I am! And for that very pleasant musical fantasy ride, I'll award a top score of 5 points.
