This is my parody of the TV Show theme "Rawhide!". AT the time I performed this I was a member of a local improvisational comedy troupe called the Time' Squares. I would perform a couple of   more...song parodies during each show we did just to give the other Squares a break. We originated in a New York-style deli-restaurant called Chompie's, so the manager who founded our group wanted NYC-flavored material. I have never been in New York, but I know that problems with taxis are a running joke there. I waas also somewhat enamored of the Blues Brothers rendition of "Rawhide!" in their movie. Somehow those two things collided like chocolate and peanut butter, and this parody was born. I did my own Karaoke arrangement on my synthesizers and created the cab fronts out of foamcore for the "cabbies".  less

This video documents part of my journey from work to the college in London where I take my jazz improv classes. Tonight was my final jazz performance for the year. I think this was my best performance   more...out of the three we did over the past 9 months.

As band leader for this performance I chose and arranged this piece. There were a few stuff-ups with the drummer not being familiar with the arrangement (he wasn't at the practice so its understandable).

Anyway hope you guys enjoy the extra glimpse into London life (as requested ;)) and this final jazz performance.  less

This is my "Part II" to the What's Up (cover) video. I found some footage and wanted to share! We were pretty proud of this event. We put all of this together including the stage. Our sound   more...guy was a roadie and sound guy for Sammy Hagar. We had a local comedian perform for our intermission. It was freakin' awesome... especially for our first time performing for an audience.  less

Fiat Rallisi`nde ilk günün ilk lupunun sonunda Fiat`in Italyan pilotu Basso ve Volkan Isik’in hemen ardindan Opel`in genç pilotu Yagiz Avci, 38 saniye farkla rallinin genel klasmaninda 3. sirada yer aldi. Bu yarista genç sürücüler birinciligi kupasini kazanmak için start alan Opel Performance takiminin bu basarisi, dikkatleri Yagiz Avci ve Opel Corsa’nin üstüne yöneltti. TOSFED tarafindan organize edilen 35. Fiat Rallisi’nin ilk ayaginin sonunda genç sürücüler birinciliginde Yagiz, çok büyük bir farkla lider durumdayken genel klasmanda 4.siradaydi.

Gün sonunda yapilan özel seyirci etabi startti öncesi bir çok deneyimli pilotu geride birakan Yagiz Avci arkasindaki rakibinin yarim saniye önündeydi. Içi su dolu plastik bariyerlerle Istanbul Park’ta olusturulan seyirci etabinda Opel pilotu Yagiz’i kötü bir süpriz bekliyordu. Kendisinden önce yarisan pilotlarin çarparak kirdigi plastik bariyerlerden yola yayilan sular etabin bazi bölümlerinde zemini kayganlastirinca Yagiz, Corsa’nin kontrolünü kaybederek demir bariyerlere çarpti. Çarpma sonucu direksiyon ve elektrik sistemi zarar gören Corsa’si ile Yagiz Avci bu atapta oldukça fazla zaman kaybetti. Ikinci günün starti için kapali parktan hasarli otomobillerini ancak iterek çikartabilen Yagiz ve co pilotu Ersan servise kadar gelebilmeleri için geçen sürede 50 saniye zaman cezasi aldilar.

Tüm bu olumsuzluklara ragmen yaris boyunca yaptigi ataklar ve özel etap 15’te imza attigi best time ile dikkat çeken Opel Performance’in yetenekli pilotu Yagiz Avci oldu. Opel takimi, Avrupa Ralli Sampiyonasi’nin Türkiye ayagi Fiat Rallisi’de Türkiye Ralli Genç Sürücüler birinciligini Yagiz Avci ve co pilotu Ersan Alkir ile elde ederken ayni zamanda genel klasmanda 8.oldu.  less
