Japanese Beach Girls is the creation of two artists living in Japan.
Sachiko a Japanese woman and Tommy an American man who discovered their art surprisingly similar even though raised thousands of miles   more...apart. They have joined their passion and share some of their digital art on Live Video when they are not busy joining their passions. Thank you both for being a friend and sharing some of your work with me so I could put together this video. I had a great time piecing it together.
Hiroshima is an American jazz fusion band formed in 1974 by Sansei Japanese American Dan Kuramoto (wind instruments and band leader), June Kuramoto (koto), Johnny Mori (percussion and taiko), & Danny Yamamoto (keyboards and drums). Named for the Japanese city of Hiroshima they are best known for the fusing of Japanese music and other forms of world music into their playing. Their early jazz-pop R&B sound gave them a huge following among the African American community. The highlight of Hiroshima's career was being the opening act for the Miles Davis 1990 world tour. Since then, despite moving towards new age music, Hiroshima continues to gain a wider audience for their music.
June Kuramoto is the only founding member who is not American-born. She was born in Saitama-ken and moved to Los Angeles at a young age.
The band was featured in a 1976 documentary titled Cruisin' J-Town, directed by Duane Kubo. Their music was featured in the 1989 film Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.

"Killing Me Softly" Roberta Flack. I have always loved this song....every since I went to the South as a little kid for the summer. While in the summer school...I learned the hard way that   more...the South is unlike the North. The teacher pulled out a wooden paddle an proceeded to tear my rear end up ( it should be noted that I have always been...and continue to be a generally nice guy. Whatever grounds there were that made the teacher see to it that I have total pain on my tush was to say the least...a slight misunderstanding. As I continued to count the number of "swats" being delivered, "Killing Me Softly" was being played on the little classroom radio. Needless to say, the song strikes a unique chord with me...and has ever since. Lol. Much love to yu all....and enjoy!

This is a Memorial video of my 13 year-old nephew Blaine who was killed in an ATV accident on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2003. He was wearing a helmet but it didn't help in his accident. He was a   more...great kid. He greeted people with hugs and was very loving, always respecting adults. Blaine was baptised only 25 days before the accident. Of all the bumper stickers his mother had given him for his ATV, he only put one on it and it simply said, "GOD". Blaine's best friend Jacob Davis (that you see in front of him in the band photo) died almost exaclty a year before Blaine. He is buried behind Blaine. The redish headstone you see in the gravesite photos is his. Such a shame and heartache to see such young kids dying. Makes you think about life alot. If you have any serious respectable questions about any of the photos or anything, please feel free to ask. Thanks for watching and getting to know Blaine a little. While we were grieving and bereaving and feeling frightened and sorry for ourselves few of us ever took the time to think or IMAGINE how this incident may have affected other people - other countries! After all, we ARE a part of the whole, and he sum of the parts IS greater than the WHOLE! Haven't you ever wondered, ever asked yourself, "......... how did the rest of the Human Race, the rest of the World, feel about and react to - our 9/11 incident?" Is it just OUR grief or theirs as well?
