SPOILERS - eps 1 to 25, and a bit from 35 (Matt).

OK, I'd better explain this (!) ~ the 'hook' for this video, or the thing which got me thinking about using this song for L, was the chorus line "it'd   more...be so empty without me". And I find making crazy videos like this a lot of fun! (I think I know the attraction of the Sims now :)

BTW, I DO actually like the other characters! But I think L is great.

The footage used in each repetition of the chorus is supposed to be a timeline, to reflect L's awesome contribution to the interesting storylines in Death Note. (The scenes shown for the chorus, in order, were:- seeing the Kira killings and realising who Kira's first victim actually was, Raye Penber, 2nd Kira, Light turning good (and handcuffs), Yotsuba, seeing the Shinigami). So it is a tribute to L.

Er, for what L says at the very end, I was thinking of a more innocent interpretation, because L is all over Kira i.e. trying to catch Kira. ^^;

Spoiler for episode 37 (and possibly the other episodes depending on how you want to view it). Slight yaoi warning as well (Mikami at the end) ~ but if you don't know what yaoi is, you probably wouldn't   more...notice.

After seeing the tragedy of episode 37, I wanted to do something lighthearted and fun with it. And Light did all those theatrical movements! Sexy Back just came to mind as a ridiculous mix. Everything else grew from that. Light's character is good-looking and popular ~ I'm pretty sure the original author mentioned she wanted that as a main part of Light's profile.

It's funny, when I was making this I was thinking "ha ha, I'm making Light do all these stupid things" but the end result was a bit surprising ~ people who wanted Light to escape might like this vid! (I don't think this video shows Light in a heroic fashion...what do you think?) I swear, I'm not condoning serial murderers. I don't want to give that impression! (from someone's comments on YouTube, they thought I was a Light fan). I simply like having fun with these characters!

(BTW I liked the way they ended the series - I thought Light had more dignity.) And from some comments, I better clear up that I'm not a Light fan/Kira supporter- I liked the anime ending because he got what was coming to him in a different way.

I'm not too familiar with the timing of subtitles (some may be too quick to read), but if you have to see it twice to understand it, that's a good thing, right?

This is my first serious Death Note AMV. Finally! XDDDD (it's been on my to-do list for a while - I came across the   more...song when I was trying to find MSI's Bite Your Rhymes for Near's theme song - and I thought it fit Misa quite well)

Short summary: Misa grows a brain. XDDDD (but her unconditional love is sweet)

There may have been better ways of conveying the intention of the video - in my mind - at least for this vid-, Misa fell in love with Light's good self - the one where he goes out of his way to do the moral thing, the same way he acted before he got corrupted through the endless killing, and the same way he acted when he lost his memory of the death note. In other words, I didn't really mean for the 'stranger' to be Ryuk, even though I used Ryuk to be symbolic of the Kira persona.

So Misa is in despair because the Light she loves, the good Light, is being dissolved more and more as Light's Kira persona is taking over.

Not exactly the storyline, but anyway. x3 Creative license.  less
