This is a collaboration with Sonya and Shuie (a UK based duo) and I must say I am blown away by what they did to my solo acoustic cover. They did a beautiful job on this!

I sent them my raw microphone   more...recording and they upholstered it with their Buffalo magic as follows:

Sonya did the 'morse' electric dub on her Les Paul copy, the handclaps and the high harmony.

Shuie played the Fenderbass, lead guitar and sang low harmony. He also put an extra high harmony on the final chorus.

was about to lose his house with no jobs available   more...to him. His wife and children were with him and he broke down
and cried shaking with fear not knowing where they were going to go. He felt like a failure to his family and was
afraid of losing them once he couldn't provide for them. I know he's not alone and often wonder where they end up.  less

A decidely raw and unreheasred take on this song. I had planned on recording another song but after trying for a while I just wasn't feeling it. So suddenly I had this crazy idea to just play this song   more...with a fan blowing. This is what came out spontaneously.  less

This song came to me in a dream where I dreamt about the galaxy of stars we are a part of and wondered what meaning our lives have when compared to the enormous galaxy of stars. I concluded that life   more...is very short and finding true love in this life is all that really matters and that Love itself is a beautiful state of mind.  less

My solo acoustic cover based on the live Unplugged version

This is a song I wrote in 1977 about an older me reflecting back on my youth and the good times we had centered around the music we listened to back then.

I'd like to dedicate this one to my two closest   more...bros in the world, my cousin Gartel and our mutual best friend Carmando. We all grew up together and misspent our wonderful youth. Laughing, loving, partying and having lots of fun. Carmando and I would jam on guitars a lot back then.

The photo is of me and Carmando circa 1976 (I think) and I remeber that we were sitting on a park bench with the Neil Young Zuma songbook learning those songs together. Come to think of it this song is really my tribute to those great songs of Neil Young. When I wrote this song I had been a Neil Young fan for only 3 years and I had no idea that his songs would still be a very important part of my life in music.

While the music style of this song is very Neil Young and reminiscent of the 70's I think the sentiment is timeless.  less

I had the idea for a song about trying to explain the concept of Hate to my children and this is the song I ended up with.
