This is one of quite a few mini vids of bits of dance numbers from many shows I produced and choreographed
to go to certain Major   more...Japanese and other Worldwide Resorts. The actual Shows were very huge production variety shows.
The show would have many "Acts": Singers, Magic, Jugglers, Bear Acts, Tiger Acts, Chimp Acts, AND ... Small Dance Troupe Acts.
So what I will be uploading from time to time are excerpts from different numbers, different cast members,
different shows, different years of those many different "Small Dance Acts" I sent.

Makes me feel good to find these tapes and look back at a great group, then to see them go on to be Stars in many fields. EXCERPTS from the Largest Sportswear Fashion Show in Europe each year. I put a few Very short bits from this show up on this site already, ... but they were only a few seconds long. I decided to grab   more...parts of a few more numbers from that show, to show more of what it was about.

The TWO vids I'm putting up each have parts of 3 different numbers in each vid.

Every Sports Line was represented and had shows there, and it was CLOSED to the Public, it was for BUYERS only.
I pitched my Concept to the Big Wigs, so did Production companies from all over the world, I think over 20 pitched and I won the contract for three years in a row. Woo Hoo!! (I also won Awards for my Concepts and Choreography ... yet somehow over the years I have remained humble and grateful ..... ummmm ... w8! ... well MOST of the time that is. (hehe)

Again for those of you who have not seen some of my old "Vintage" mini vids, from shows, rehearsals, performances and so on. I will remind you that MOST of these are poor quality OLD DUSTY VHS tapes (these two Puma show vids are not too bad) that I found (some too damaged to copy- DRAT!) in the attic.

I'm just having FUN Viewing AND grabbing bits from my past.

SO many OLD Show tapes were too damaged to repair or copy, so those won't be left for the future archives .. for example of topics like: "History of the "Music Hall" / "Commercial Dance" / "Variety Shows" / "Vegas Extravaganza type Shows" / "Jazz Choreography ThroughThe Ages" / " Examples of Professional Dance Choreography used in Commercial Shows, Companies, both Jazz thru Ballet" ... etc.

QUESTION !!!!!!!!!!!! ???????? >>>>> If YOU were involved in any "Professional" OLD Vegas type Variety shows or the like ........... AND you have any OLD Videos from Vegas Shows, I would LOVE for you to either upload some numbers or parts of numbers to this site.
!!!!!!!!!! Also if you have any vids of Choreography from older Vegas Choreographers, like: Ronnie Lewis, Cary LaSpina, Ron Fields, or Choreographers like that .... I would also love to be able somehow to get copies, as they are hard to find!!!!!!!!!! ONE reason for this is that I am WRITING a BOOK regarding "Styles of Vegas Choreographers from the 60's to the 90's".

I Choreographed this back in about 1983 for a small group of female dancers, who also studied Jazz Dance from me. This is just one of the first Rehearsals and the floor was kinda slippery. (hehe) Of course,   more...once again I have to say that I copied this from a dusty old VHS, so the quality is very poor, but you can get an Idea. These girls ended up being FIRST RATE DANCERS, and went on to do MUCH Bigger things!

I also designed everything from the Concept (which was, believe it or not ... BROADWAY SHOWS!) I was one of MANY Choreographers from all over the world, who pitched their Ideas to the Big Wigs. My Creative Ideas and Concept landed me 3 years with this particular Sports Brand.
I auditioned in many countries for this very important show: Eventually ended up hireing dancers from London, Paris, Amsterdam, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.

(I just replaced original vid of Zebra ... with one (that should be sharper) This is a Professional Female Dancer, rehearsing some of my Choreography for a Show,   more...I think it was about 1982? She is one of the BESTand Strongest Dancers I've EVER known. If you know the "Dance" you will see what I mean at the end when she does so many fuetes IN HIGH HEELS! hehe
I also Designed the Costume with emphasis on the Headpiece... was having her test it out as I had to make them light weight so Dancers could do all those wild "Head Rolls" that were so popular back in the day. Ala Ronnie Lewis.
