Mythbustin', APBT-style! This is the 2nd version, as I am attempting to make the text more streamlined and easier to read. The text still goes a little fast, I know. Sorry. I was trying to squeeze   more...a lot of info in there.

I have heard some criticism on the video which was not brought directly to me by the detractors, and that is fine. People are questioning me for providing facts without sources. The facts in this video are compiled from several sources: Firstly, my own life's experience in the breed (almost 20 years). I verify my own thoughts by listening to others who are equally (and in many cases more) well-versed on the breed. I've read a buttload of books. I've read studies. If you talk to others with lots of experience with the APBT, they will largely confirm what this video is trying to convey. Sound knowledge doesn't have to have a corporation backing it up; sometimes first-hand experience is better.

Some have directly attacked what I said about chaining, which is their right to disagree. However, there is a right and a wrong way to do it. I am not referring to dogs who are tied constantly with no stimulation or human contact. People who responsibly chain are not simply warehousing dogs; they consciously work to keep their dogs happy. Unfortunately, when you keep several of these dogs, sometimes use of a chain is necessary to prevent accidental fighting or breeding.

An APBT video has not been made that every viewer will agree with. Over the years I've had to prune plenty of snide remarks from even my best videos. My goal here was to get some sensible, first-hand information out there to stand against the massive amount of hype that surrounds these dogs. It was not to create a PR video intended to make people want to own a Pit Bull. I'm not interested in "selling" the breed. I offer only the truth, which is neither all good nor all bad. These dogs can be the best thing since sliced bread in a home that is prepared and educated, or they can be a neighborhood scourge in the hands of a disinterested or ignorant owner.  less
