Stunning looking, the Pagani Zonda F CS, where the F honors the famous five-time Formula 1 Champ Fangio, is a 650 bhp car that can move at 214 mph, achieving 62 mph in 3.6 seconds.

Mercedes Benz
The Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR just bowls you over with its unique style and performance. This car uses carbon fiber for its chassis and packs in 650 bhp. The suspension configuration is tailor made and the car has a sporty interior. The 722 editions from Mercedes Benz acknowledge the victory of Brit racing legend Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson who used a Mercedes Benz 300 SLR, starting at 7.22 am in 1055. This car gives you a feeling of being on the racetrack with its ability to handle a maximum speed of 337 km/hour.

GMG Apollo
One way to describe this beauty is very fast, exotic and powerful, with its 650 bhp reaching 62 mph in 3 seconds flat. This German power car has gull wing doors. This two-seater car gets its power from a 4.2 liter Audi V8 engine. The two-seater Apollo is powered by a 4.2-liter Audi V8 engine. It is capable of 650 bhp, which drives this car to race at 360 km per hour.

Saleen
Back in 2002, Saleen's S7 was the only car in the US that could be legally driven with more than its 500 bhp and 500 lb-ft torque. This car has got rave reviews as the fastest American car in the world. Rather more popular for tuning Mustangs, Saleen has proved itself to be a super car manufacturer. Their S7 Twin Turbo features a whopping 750 bhp that lets you whiz to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds.

Koenigsegg
Koenigsegg CCX or Competition Coupe X commemorates the tenth anniversary of the first ever CC model made in 1996. This 806 bhp car is an improvement over the CC model, with a new front bumper design and better brake cooling, fog lamps and US side position lights.

Bugatti
The Bugatti Veyron boasts 987 bhp power and races to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds. Often considered the most powerful car ever, it has a low podium placing and went through various redesigns. This car can do 253 mph. There is another 1250 bhp version on the cards, expected to do 274 mph. That's power.

Bristol Fighter T
Here's a functionally designed 1012 bhp car with twin turbo charging and an inter-cooled 8 liter V10 engine. Add to it a 6 speed manual gearbox and increased torque capacity plus revised gear ratios.

SSC Ultimate Aero TT
The American-built SSC Aero is a supercar built by Shelby Super Cars (SSC) in order to rival the new Bugatti Veyron. Packing a power of 1180 bhp, the SSC Ultimate Aero TT can run at 270 mph, picking up to 62 mph in 2.8 seconds.

The Bristol Type 156 Beaufighter, often referred to as simply the Beau, was a British long-range heavy fighter modification of the Bristol Aeroplane Company's earlier Beaufort torpedo bomber design. The   more...name Beaufighter is a portmanteau of "Beaufort" and "fighter". Unlike the Beaufort, the Beaufighter had a long career and served in almost all theatres of war in the Second World War, first as a night fighter, then as a fighter-bomber and eventually replacing the Beaufort as a torpedo bomber
By fighter standards, the Beaufighter Mk I was rather heavy and slow. It had an all-up weight of 16,000 lb (7,000 kg) and a maximum speed of only 335 mph (540 km/h) at 16,800 ft (5,000 m). Nevertheless this was all that was available at the time, as the otherwise excellent Westland Whirlwind had already been cancelled due to production problems with its engines.

The Beaufighter's main claim to fame would be that it was coming off the production lines at almost exactly the same time as the first British airborne radar sets. With the four 20 mm cannons mounted in the lower fuselage, the nose could accommodate the radar antennas, and the general roominess of the fuselage enabled the AI equipment to be fitted easily. Even loaded down to an even heavier 20,000 lb (9 t), the plane was still fast enough to catch the even slower German bombers. By early 1941, it was an effective counter to Luftwaffe night raids. The various early models of the Beaufighter soon commenced service overseas, where its rugged build and reliability soon made the aircraft popular with its crews.

A night-fighter Mk VIF was supplied to squadrons in March 1942, equipped with AI Mark VIII radar. As the faster de Havilland Mosquito took over in the night fighter role in mid to late 1942, the heavier Beaufighters made sterling contributions in other areas, such as anti-shipping, ground attack and long-range interdiction in every major theatre of operations.

In the Mediterranean, the USAAF's 414th, 415th, 416th and 417th Night Fighter Squadrons received 100 Beaufighters in the summer of 1943, achieving their first victory in July 1943. Through the summer the squadrons conducted both daytime convoy escort and ground-attack operations, but primarily flew defensive interception missions at night. Although the Northrop P-61 Black Widow fighter began to arrive in December 1944, USAAF Beaufighters continued to fly night operations in Italy and France until late in the war.

By the autumn of 1943 the Mosquito was available in enough numbers to replace the Beaufighter as the primary night fighter of the RAF. By the end of the war some 70 pilots serving with RAF units had become aces while flying Beaufighters.1941 saw the development of the Beaufighter Mk IC long-range heavy fighter. This new variant entered service in May 1941 with a detachment from No. 252 Squadron operating from Malta. The aircraft proved so effective in the Mediterranean against shipping, aircraft and ground targets that Coastal Command became the major user of the Beaufighter, replacing the obsolete Beaufort and Blenheim.

Coastal Command began to take delivery of the up-rated Mk VIC in mid 1942. By the end of 1942, Mk VICs were being equipped with torpedo-carrying gear, enabling them to carry the British 18-inch or the US 22.5-inch torpedo externally. The first successful torpedo attacks by Beaufighters came in April 1943, with No. 254 Squadron sinking two merchant ships off Norway.

The Hercules Mk XVII, developing 1,735 hp at 500 feet was installed in the Mk VIC airframe to produce the TF (Torpedo Fighter) Mk X - commonly known as the "Torbeau." The Mk X became the main production mark of the Beaufighter. The strike variant of the Torbeau was designated the "Mk XIC." Beaufighter TF Xs would make precision shipping attacks at wave-top height with torpedoes or rockets. Early models of the Mk Xs carried ASV (air-to-surface vessel) radar, but this was replaced in late 1943 by AI Mark VIII radar, house  less

We go up Park Street, around The Triangle, past the imposing   more...facade of the Victoria Rooms, stop for someone on the zebra crossing, and go under the plane trees and on up Whiteladies Road. Various driving hazards include random, scurrying pedestrians, crazy parking, someone performing a bizarre right turn (lucky I spotted him), and a delivery lorry completely blocking the way. Sit back and enjoy the drive. Oh, don't forget, we drive on the left in the UK.  less

See the amazing Clifton Suspension Bridge, high up in the rocky Avon   more...Gorge. Drive under the bridge, and drive over it. All in one take, in real time. We approach Bristol down the fast Long Ashton bypass; go along Brunel Way with a great view of the Suspension Bridge and the Avon Gorge; drive across the Plimsoll swing bridge; drive down onto the Portway and under the bridge, through the little tunnel. The traffic lights change to green as we approach and we go up twisty Bridge Valley Road, turn right into Clifton Down and right again - to the bridge. Drop 50 pence into the basket and a slow crossing (max 25mph). Look out for the joggers and the people clearing rubbish on the Downs.  less
