"The Star Spangled Banner" is the national   more...anthem of the United States of America. The lyrics are from a poem entitled, "Defense of Fort McHenry", written in 1814 by Francis Scott Key, after he witnessed the September 13th attack by the British Royal Navy on Fort McHenry in Baltimore, Maryland. This War of 1812 bombardment is now known as the Battle of Baltimore (September 12-14, 1814).
Throughout the night of the 13th, the bombing was heavy. At dawn on September 14th, Francis Scott Key saw that the huge American flag, which is now called "The Star Spangled Banner", was still waving at the fort. It inspired him to write the now famous poem.

The flag currently hangs at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History.

On March 3rd, 1931, by congressional resolution, The "Star Spangled Banner" became the national anthem of the USA.

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,

Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."

Blue gets home from her parents' house and she's really bummed because one of their friends somehow found the video that I took of her toungue ring! Can you believe it?! They got really mad at her.

I know Daniella got to experience what a creep Eddie was first hand, but the thing she doesn't know is that a few weeks ago he was being a little bit more than friendly with me (lets just say I was in   more...the shower and received an unexpected visit from our friendly neighborhood creep named Eddie!). I've been wanting to tell Daniella, she deserves to know but telling her face to face seems like it'd be more than I can handle. I guess now that she's watching these videos and makeing them herself I can just tell her this way (I'm sorry Dani I just don't want to see you get upset when I tell you!) What do you think guys?
