This is the famous "Air on a G-string" from Suite for Orchestra no. 3.

This is a video I made with various paintings by French artist William Adolphe Bougueraugh. The music I used, Aria by Johann Sebastian Bach, was arranged for the guitar and performed by Cesar Amaro, Phalopalo.

The music is J. S. Bach's Concerto in D minor for Two Violins (BWV 1043) performed by Café Zimmermann.

This is a video we made in Rome 2 weeks ago. Not planned or prepared for but what the heck; we had great fun doing it! :))

From Suite No. 1 for unaccompanied violin in B-minor. Imagine this can be played om a single violin!! Amazing!
"Sarabande" was originally a fast dance from Latin America, often with a sexual   more...undertone. It was banned from several European countries but at the end of the 17th. century it changed and got a more religious and serious sound. No dancing!! :)

Final movement of J. S. Bach's Mass in B Minor. The first glimpse that the world would see of this Mass was in 1733 when Bach dedicated its Kyrie and Crucifixus to Friedrich August II, Elector of Saxony,   more...a man who had converted to the Roman faith (abandoning his wife who would not convert). For the next fifteen years Bach expanded this Missa Brevis, borrowing heavily from his German cantatas and adapting them to Latin, to produce a complete setting of the Mass ordinary. Bach did this knowing that the work would never see performance during his lifetime. So, in terms of its origin, the B Minor Mass is an enigma - a Latin work by a Protestant that is impracticable in both the Roman and Lutheran liturgies. The performance is by the Bach Ensemble conducted by Joshua Rifkin.

I was going to discard this video due to excessive wind noise but I thought I'd salvage what I could and upload it anyway as it's almost unbelievable that this was recorded on the last Sunday in August.   more...It could quite easily be mistaken it for a cold January morning. The fog got dangerously bad as I climbed the moors after filming. Most of the commentary was lost due to me leaving the visor slightly open to help clear the misting but it was actually misting on the exterior.  less
