This short lesson will give you some ideas for creating your own exercises targeted at your weakness, as well as give you an exercise of my own to try out.Finger and hand independence is what the great majority of new synthesizer and piano players have the most difficulty with, especially HAND independence. I consider hand independence more of a 'muscle' kind of a thing, and hand independence more of a 'mind' kind of a thing. Finger independence is mental of course, but I find it's much easier to master than hand independence, which takes a lot more mental power.  less

The performance was by Nova Amadeus on the 6th January 2009 in the Church of Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, Rome Italy - only a few short steps around the corner from the Pantheon.
I had goosebumps throughout this unforgettable experience, not even this video can do justice as to how inspirational it was to stand amongst such history and art and then to listen to some of the greatest music from our history...

The Santa Maria Sopra Minerva church is one of Rome's better kept secrets. Built in the 13th Century its richly ordained interior has some exquisite art representing some of the greatest periods and styles of artistic history.
