Yet, searing blazes ignite, ourselves aglow with fire
As a tendered heart knows of love's ending pyre.
How far must we keep from the inferno of the heat,
To a cost of smoldering embers, our souls never to meet.


Two (To) A Bed

We sleep two (to)
a bed
touching only words
left unsaid
On scortched sheets faded,
from view
amongst no light, color, or hue.

Windswept dreams blown over
passion
winter's cold season
faintly in fashion.
I finally awake
to a textile embrace,
at love's hidden memory
leaving no trace.

SHE IN SIX LINES

And, her vissage with strands of undulating curls, culminating in
golden fire, cooled only by her white smile.

From amidst a vestal’s heart, uniformly consecrated by beams of
Her returning, unending grace.

She walks in steps hinted by fragrence of patchouli, faint clues
To indelible vestiges of her man’s heart.

Her sweet angel’s breath, speaks to the flowers of the field in
Gentle tunes, to the light amusement of time.

A spark of her own, pursued and somehow found, careens throughout
Worlds in unending lifespan, time curving inward, unto a lover’s equinox.

And yet, ashes rain fron an ascending phoenix, riding upon

Arundhati Roy (born November 24, 1961) is an Indian novelist,
activist and a world citizen. She won the Booker Prize in 1997 for
her first novel The God of Small Things.

Roy was born in Shillong, Meghalaya to a Keralite Syrian Christian
mother and a Bengali Hindu father, a tea planter by profession.
She spent her childhood in Aymanam, in Kerala, schooling in
Corpus Christi. She left Kerala for Delhi at age 16, and embarked
on a homeless lifestyle, staying in a small hut with a tin roof within
the walls of Delhi's Feroz Shah Kotla and making a living
selling empty bottles. She then proceeded to study architecture
at the Delhi School of Architecture, where she met her first husband,
the architect Gerard Da Cunha.

Kimi Wa Petto (You're My Pet) - Something's There ...
After her fiancé leaves her for his mistress and Sumire Iwaya is demoted at work, she stumbles across a young injured, homeless man inside a cardboard   more...box outside her apartment. She takes him in and becomes attached to him. As a joke, she says she wants to keep him as a pet (dog.) To her surprise, the young man agrees. She names him Momo - after a pet from her childhood. Sumire provides room and board - and Momo provides unconditional love and loyalty. Sumire says there is no sex involved in their relationship, and she will only sleep with men who have the "three highs": higher pay, higher education and higher height (i.e. taller than her 170 cm.) The result: Worldwide oil prices jump up.
The next week, Saddam forgets about the Palestinians and pumps to the maximum allowed under the Oil-for-Food Program.
The result: Oil prices suddenly dive-bomb.
Up, down, up, down. Saddam was out of control.
