MAF Magister - an ex Franch AF trainer and one time mount of the Patrouille de France. I filmed this at Mildenhall's Air Fete about ten years ago hence the poorer quality. Nice paint job.

Superb slo mo's of the Mil Mi-26 and other giant helo's used to overcome difficult terrain and lack of road/rail in remote facilities etc. Nice glimpse of an underlsung MiG-17(?). I saw one of these giants   more...at Farnborough in the mid-80s, breathtaking.
Hope everyone likes the slo mo which is something you can do with the Sky+ STB. You can get a better view of detail e.g. for modellers, since AFAIK you can't slo mo on LV - could d/l and use VLC video player etc. Plus you don't have to listen to the usually awful commentary (engine noise is seldom present anyway).  less

Unusual airshow performers are the Douglas DC6 and Lockheed Electra, then we see a couple of more familiar items the DC3 and B17. I missed this Coventry Airshow darn it. Went there years ago but I don't   more...think they run it any more. The company behind it is Air Atlantique - I have had a ride in one of their DC3s - and they are a commercial cargo company but just happen to have superb planes like these and the SA Twin Pioneer and even a Shackleton!  less

One of the best looking jets ever IMHO. The slightly less elegant two-seat Hunter is shown here in a fast run. One of the longest running and most useful aircraft in air force service it is now very popular   more...in private hands.  less
