Bob Dylan released his first self-titled album "Bob Dylan" in 1962. In his first album is the song "Pretty Peggy-O," a variation of the Scottish folk song "The Bonnie Lass o'   more...Fyvie."

Bob Dylan's first album sold around 5,000 copies the first year, just breaking even. Some in Columbia Records wanted to drop Bob Dylan, but due to support from the likes of Johnny Cash he stayed.

Bob Dylan rarely performed songs from his first album and as such I was unable to find a live version of the song on video. So I put a together a collection of photographs and lyrics.

Due to the faith of those who knew him in his early days, Bob Dylan has become a legend and will always be remembered in history as an important figure in music whose influence spans five decades.  less

The video is old it is thus necessary to have patience 8 seconds before the first images. Twist and shout is extracted from the first official album “Please Please Me” published to Me at   more...Parlophone and recorded in 1962 with their Producer George Martin. To have to listen to the demonstrations at Decca recorded during a hearing earlier a few months I was particularly struck by the contribution of George Martin who really gave to Beatles a SOUND. It added a professional key to the group which had already the songs and the harmonies. A such sculptor it worked this raw material and life gave him!!! When it is known that the album “Please Please Me” was recorded in only 12 Hours, one includes/understands better today at which point the school of the Star Club of Hamburg and Cavern of Liverpool was important for Beatles.

The Commies are Coming, the Commies are Coming (1962) (also known as Red Nightmare and Freedom and You) is a Cold War-era drama, short subject film, starring Jack Kelly, and Jeanne Cooper. The film is   more...a grim reminder to Americans not to take their freedom for granted. It was directed by George Waggner. The film was among those films released at the height of the Cold War, including On the Beach (1959), Atomic War Bride (1960), and Panic in Year Zero (1962).

A man takes his American freedoms for granted, until he wakes up one morning to find out that the United States government has been replaced with a Communist system. (Fortunately he is only dreaming.) The basis for this short film, narrated by Jack Webb, is the alleged Soviet recreation of US communities for the purpose of training infiltrators, spies, and moles.

The production of the film is quite similar to episodes of The Twilight Zone which was a popular television series at that time (1962). It was made by Warner Brothers under the auspices of the Department of Defense "Directorate of Armed Forces Information and Education" (commonly referred to as 'Army Training Films').
