The group meet a group of water performers and a Pokémon Ranger who are guarding a mysterious egg. When a Manaphy hatches in May's arms, she becomes its mother and the group help deliver the Seafaring Pokémon to an underwater temple. However, an evil pirate is after Manaphy and the treasure the temple contains.

This is the original uncut Japanese version of the ninth Pokemon movie. It is presented in its original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.78:1.

My own thoughts: Flawed film has it' s good points: good story and great visuals (except the surface of the CGI ocean). But the relationship between May and Manaphy is at times corny and overdone. Good voice acting by Manaphy's voice actress. The story is not really that great, and the main antagonist could have been a little more menacing and a little better directed.  less

CLANNAD is easily the most anticipated show of the season for me because of all the great things I’ve heard about the original game coupled with Kyoto’s Animation’s record of beautifully animated and   more...faithful adaptations. Having such a talented cast too - including Nakahara Mai, Kanda Akemi, Kuwashima Houko, Nonaka Ai, Inoue Kikuko, and Noto Mamiko - is just icing on the cake. I’ve been trying my best not to read up on the story before seeing this, so all I’ll say about it here is that it starts with a troubled delinquent whose life changes when he meets the main heroine.  less
