YouTube is great for that. There's always a tutorial on SOMEthing from SOMEbody. Audacty is a very bare-bones little program, but the creative person can do a lot with it. I use it to de-noise and edit all my pre-recorded dialogue for my Tyrannovision

double-bass, both bowed and plucked. I cut a bunch of those together to create the music. A couple of harp glissandos tuned to the key of the song and I was good to go! I have a huge collection of 1950's and 60's easy listening CD's (The Capitol Records "Ultra Lounge" series) as well as some cuts from the KPM production music library. I just listen and analyze their arrangements, then just try for a sound-alike composition. I want to use the same techniques to make some Django Reinhardt-style acoustic guitar jazz compositions.

I've been using Magix Music Maker 14 to edit my music.. it comes and goes, I guess.. :P I'm pretty good at making epic movie soundtracks and techno beats.. but 50's style jingles is a little difficult. Heheh.

Thanks, man! That's the feel was going for! Plus, it was an experiment in acoustic music editing I wanted to try.

I'm hoping that Larry will tack it on to the end of the movie--which is really sleazy. That'll make it even funnier!

I just love this 50s style. That jingle does remind mo of something, but I just cannot put my finger on it,, Damned annoying.
