Unwilling to marry A-1 Steak Sauce with peanut butter, I could not find words for my encounter with Elvis. I did, however, did pick up the Marilyn torch for BlancheNoE, below.

Elvis Presley hated ketchup. Yeah? So? Well, here’s the deal… if you are going to have dinner with him and be sitting within arm’s reach, you must love ketchup and order something that goes with it. You must strategically cover your food in ketchup in

such a way that there isn’t a bite of anything available without it. That is, if you want to keep your food.
In 1954, Bill Black and Scotty Moore played bass and guitar for Elvis. They toured with him as “Hillbilly Cat and The Blue Moon Boys”. It was Bill who figured out the ketchup deal, and Scotty who lost the most food to the always-hungry King.
I hear tell nothing much has changed, so plan ahead here folks. Some years from now, if you’re strolling through Memphis in heaven – and you’re hungry? – you might want to order the burger and fries.

Rubbernecks
So there we were.
Me and the King of Ketchup were in a boat on the ocean, looking at the falling cruiseliner. The hull was in the air, perpindicular with the water's surface. The propellers were still slightly turning.
I turned to the King,

who was tipping back a bottle of Heinz ketchup. "Shouldn't we go help them?" I asked him.
He raised an eyebrow, set down his ketchup bottle, and brought out a comb before running it through his greasy black hair. "Stop, look, and listen, babeh. That's my philosophy."
I shook my head. "No, we need to help them. How can you sit there and do nothing!?"
He smirked, curling his upper lip in that fancy way he does. "That's called rubberneckin' babeh, and that's all right with me."
"Please don't call me 'baby' again."
"You got it, bab--"
"STOP!!"
Then there was silence. But soon the silence was broke as the cruiseliner starting falling into the water more, making a real loud noise. Like metal bending, almost.
"Viva Las Vegas, my man," the King said.
"Oh go stick your head in the water and breathe, you imbecile," I muttered.
