I can only concur with the rest ... sounds like the clutch is giving up. :(

that would have been startling.

Clutch slippage is a big deal, solve now before more issues happen. Respectable times tho even with clutch slippage.

Uh oh clutch slippage. Not a big deal but could be in the future if you're ever in a situation where you need to get out of the way in a hurry. Order some new plates and replace.

Hope it comes in quick.

No that's not normal. The clutch is wearing, and can no longer engage through peak power.

You might want to get that looked at sharpish. Once they start to go, they go quick.
Before you know it, it'll be doing that throughout the entire rev-range.

clutch slipping, or wheelspin. probably clutch slippage is my take on it.

i've never done it on a motorcycle, but ive done it on a car.. and just after taking a quick look.. its got to be 100,000x easier on a motorcycle. But first you need to find some tutorial or instructions for your specific bike or the shop manual. If   more...

Is this an easy fix or do i need to take it to a shop?

Thanks for the info, glad there are some motorcheads out there.

when your clutch starts to go even on a car, its always more likely to slip in exactly that situation. A tall gear under high load. Eventually it will start to slip in the lower gears as well under full throttle.
