Cut out but got to see about 75%. Is it just me or did I see like 4-5 Ninja 500's? Looks fun - the cold!

Possibly, there was a wide variety of bikes there. Yeah was cold but better than rain.

Hey! I made it through 80% of this one!

I can handle the cold. But I draw the line at ice. It's just too slippery. That guy on the trike had the right idea.

It's interesting you mentioned over heating. On Friday, when it was 33F / 0.5C, my radiator   more...

I think I could have made it on that run without the fan kicking in as it was so cold. The problem with my bike is when it gets hot you get a very warm right leg. I think it could be painful in just jeans. Have you checked your coolant level btw? Mine   more...

why did they wait until now? I did the toy run in Calgary back in September... there was no frost :P

That's because the Pet Food Run was back in September :P That's the one I went on last year.

They must be mad! lol.

They must be. I guess overheating wasn't too much of a concern for many yesterday.

Dang, Swipe, looks bitter cold for sure....thanks for taking the time and making the effort to hike over there and share with us...cold hands and all. Merry Christmas to you and yours. (Don't get sunburned while on holiday!)

P.S. Watched it whilst having   more...

Thanks Harry. merry Christmas to you too. It was really just up the road for me, it's my own fault for underestimating the time it would take them to hit that part of the route. I'm even more looking forward to my holiday with it being so cold here.

Hello Swipe
looks like it was friggin freezing!!

Posted Dec 7, 08 by Swipe
It was absolutely freezing, very cold on your hands.

Looks like a good cause. There were quite a few scoots there. Pretty glad to see that.

Posted Dec 7, 08 by Swipe
Yep, all types of bikes, all shapes and sizes turn out. The toys go to underprivileged kids.

I'm with you, Swipe. I'd rather be a spectator than a participant at an event like that. I prefer my rides to be a bit more solitary ... and a bit faster!

Posted Dec 7, 08 by Swipe
Yeah, I think it would be ok on a small scooter.

There appeared to be some snow on the shoulder of the road. Don't know if I would have attended with that condition looming.
It is good to see people riding for a good cause though.

It was actually a very heavy frost Ike but still dangerous nonetheless. They do have a tendency to over do it with the grit somewhat over here though so it's pretty rare to find an untreated road unless you are out in the countryside. Yep, it certainly   more...
