GREAT first video! I'm STARVIN' now! A few questions...1) I missed the purpose of the sweet potato. Why do you need it? 2) How can you tell that they are done? When the meat thermometer registers 185? 3) How do you choose the right smoker?

What features are MUST haves for a smoker? 4) Where do you get your wood chips? Are hickory and maple the best? 5) Does the mustard make them more moist? What is the purpose if it doesn't really alter the taste? Thanks!!!

are done when the bone will pull out clean...anywhere between 190 and 200 ...if you want a sliceable butt you can finish at 180f. 3) Afraid I dont have the space to answer that one completely...I have 7 smokers and all have there own different qualities. I'll post a pic here of my pride and joy. 5)It didnt make a difference IMO...one of the most asked questions in cooking a butt seems to be...mustard or not? Just thought I'd do a comparison...have a great day!
