I'm in a similar conundrum about looking for a new job. I'm stuck at dumb corporate for now but nearly decided to apply for a new job in New Bedford, MA a couple of weeks ago.

Well...I wouldn't think this area is really much better than socal. It's like #3 most expensive place to live..but we have 4 seasons. If that's your thing anyway. ;) MA isn't bad, thats for sure!

I lived in Cambridge, MA for four years and really liked Massachusetts in general. I wouldn't mind moving back there and would actually prefer it to taking a job in Southern California. I don't think I could stand the traffic congestion, pollution more...

Sweet an all linux eviroment I have always wanted to work in one of those. I have used linux for about 7 years. My new job I'm in charge of a small companies computers and network along side my other responsiblities.

Glad to hear you like the new job more...

Yeah it's lovely to not have to worry about Windows at all anymore - and of course using it all the time makes it easier to retain stuff you learn about it.

She likes it - the bike fits her well. I think if she could stuff a larger engine into that bike she'd eventually do that.
