Well, the answer to the guy's question below...you can just be friends with them like you would any other and if it happens to grow into a greater relationship, then so be it. If not, there is someone better for you in your life. For Cheri, it's normal

to overreact on a situation like that, I would be very mad if someone stood me up so many times. But...its best to have a mutual compromise such as "Hey...I know its not your fault, but please don't make plans if you can't make them. If you want to meet up next time, make for sure you can make it." And if he has an absurd reaction to it, just leave. You did your part. Well, that's just my thinking, life is meant to live to build friendships. We all need to learn how to accept each other and earn each other's respect.

Not really...well, I might be an oddball, but I do have a friend that I love, and she knows it too but she likes other guys. I don't mind just being friends with her. Its just because when you love someone, or like someone, you should want them to

be happy always. Her smile always makes me continue to be strong, and if she can continue smiling even with another guy. Then I'll be able to smile too.

I sympathize with your situation.
I think there's a differences in how men and women evaluate members of the opposite sex.
Men are more ready to have sex with female friends than the reverse.
The reason men become attracted to female friends is because
more...
when a man values a woman as a person to a great extent, even as a friend, it becomes inevitable that he also wants to have sex with her. In contrast, a woman can very much value a man as a person and a friend, but it is entirely possible for her to not want him in a sexual way. Men cannot understand how they can be such good friends with a woman and she would not want to have sex with him, while likewise women cannot understand why, if a friendship is so strong and good, that it has to involve sex.
This is the incompatibility of reasoning between the sexes.
There are probably 3 circumstances in which a male/female friendship can avoid your current drama:
1) he finds you attractive but knows you are not interested in him. So he doesn't express his attraction to you because he would rather have you as just a friend than not have you in his life at all.
2) he does not find you attractive but values your companionship on a platonic level.
3) he finds you attractive but currently has a girlfriend with whom he is more attracted to or in love with.
But he shouldn't be flaking on you. That sounds like he's looking for an easy way to end the friendship because he can't keep his own desires in check.

I think you are right, guys normally are friends with girls they like, but the thing is, a good friend will put aside his yearning to bang you and just support you and help you out, even if you have a BF. So I don't think him liking you is the issue,

its his immaturity in dealing with you spending time with other guys.

It is possible to have opposite sex platonic friends. I'm still friends with girls from high school, work & college, so it's truly possible.
OTOH, there is a point where you have to winnow the friends who are just there because you can do something for

them from those that truly enjoy hanging out with *you*. As a computer geek, I have had the reverse problem from time to time--cute girls who only call when their computer is busted, lol...
PS: And you can ignore the people who are upset with you for cursing. WTH? People curse all the time when they're emotional or just in casual conversation.

It's still good to hear the input (wether it's good or bad) regarding my cursing, Lol. It's always cool to discover how other people feel about me.
