The thing is, there was nothing wrong with the road before they started. Much worse roads in need of repair a mile away.

Seems kind of odd that they had to spend so much time in that one location. Maybe someone at the road works department doesn't like your videos?

They only work between 7 and 11pm as the road is too busy to close during the day, so it took them two evenings to do each side of the road.

Swipe you are not happy in this video, very amusing.. that is some heavy equipment to have running outside your house sorry man. at least your getting a nice new road. up my way the state has no money to spend on roads at the moment

Hi Stress, looks like they are having the night off today. Typical, seeing as I'll be out all evening :) At least I won't have problems getting my car out.

I think they are mostly done outside my house now, they just need to lay another layer of tarmac more...

You would think they would be doing this work in the spring or summer. No wonder you have handgun laws in the UK. I'm sure somebody would have been shot by now.

Unfortunately it's gotta be done mate, and the council puts more value on getting people to work in the mornings, than letting the residents get some sleep so they can actually get up for work!

Yeah, you're right. Although there are other roads around here that are much worse than this one that have been neglected for years. I think they just stick a pin in the map and say "lets do here" :)
