I wish I had something to help out with Scruffy so I can at least keep him in a full screen shot or something. I don't have the backyard space to make my own green screen studio though.. blah.

Ha. No, I do not. :P My apartment isn't big enough for that.. The best I can do is make use of the walls and get a huge piece of plasterboard and paint it green so I can use it for a small platform or a backdrop.

Ah yes, then you WOULD need a bigger setup. Do you at least have enough space somewhere to paint a 12-foot x 12-foot carpet like I did for the floor? Because that could double as a greenscreen wall just as easily, and you can roll it up when you're not

Well you see, with the movie idea still floating around, me and Dork would need some room too. Cuz it's not gonna be JUST puppets. :P

If you were just setting up for Scruffy, I wouldn't think you'd NEED a big studio like mine. That's what's great about hand puppets, they don't require as much space. Live actors are a little bigger. Actually the 4' x 5' canvas I use in my kitchen

is an ideal setup for hand puppets. A lot less trouble to light, too.

The green nylon stockings over my head aren't all that not, but I DO get pretty toasty in the green sweatclothes in the direct Arizona sun. I can actually breathe just fine. Talking is a little weird, though, because the stocking pulls my jaw up tight

to where I sound like some New England blueblood talking through clenched teeth.
If I'm working by myself, however, as I often do (I really don't like to impose on friends if I can avoid it), SEEING can be a problem when I have to line up a shot through the camera's viewfinder or even the little flip-out LCD monitor. I cannot make out the details. In those situations, I'd really need to rig up a TV monitor.

Fun to watch- even the part as you were putting on the green "suit".

Larry has a way of finding humor in mundane things very quickly. That's why I always enjoy having him running camera (And running commentary) during our test shoots.

I could see a partial outline of your body. Not what you were intending, I'm sure, but it might come in useful on some occasion.

Good work, guys! Congrads on a successful test run. An invisible man riding a bicycle would be wild.

The only problem with that would be the bike wold become invisible where my legs juxtaposed in front of it. HOWEVER!--Standing on the far side of the bike and puppeteering it would do the trick nicely!

This has been interesting watching your development of the green technology. That's one way to go green.
There were a couple of times where it looked perfect.
I couldn't help but notice those girls legs must be attached to a really...really wide pelvis.

Yeah, Larry made that same observation. But hey,if I made it look TOO naturalistic, a viewer could easily assume that it was an actual girl wearing a greensuit from the thighs up.
