If users continually violate our Terms of Service, their account may be suspended or deleted. After you have logged in you can access your channel from your home page. Click on “Edit My Channel” to see the many customization options you have. There are 2 ways to set your channel icon. Click on “Edit My Channel” and then “Edit Channel Icon.” From there you can (1) choose from a thumbnail from any of your uploaded videos. Or (2) chose from your uploaded photos. Just select "Set as Channel Icon" under the photo you wish to use. Change your icon as often as you like! Click on “Edit My Channel” and then “Edit Channel Template” to view the available templates. When you click on a template, you can preview it in the screen to the right. Click "Select" to choose your template then confirm your channel changes. Click on “Edit My Channel” and then “Edit Channel Sections” to modify the sections you want to appear on your channel. When you check off a section you are choosing what you want other users to see. So say you don’t want your personal info displayed on your channel, uncheck “Personal Info” and click “Save Channel Sections.” Click on “Edit My Channel” then “Edit Channel Layout.” There you will find several different layout options for your channel. Click on “Preview” to check out the different options. When you find a style you like, click on “Select” then confirm your choice. Announcements are messages that you can post to your channel to let your friends know what's going on. So if you've just uploaded a new video and want to make sure it gets watched, just post an announcement!
Just go to "Edit My Channel" and then "Edit announcements." From there, when you click on "Add new announcement" then save it when you are finished.
Yes, anything you post will be visible to anyone viewing your channel. You must make sure that you enable the announcement section in your channel by going to "Edit Channel Sections" in "Edit My Channel." Yes, just go to the announcement you wish to modify and click "Edit" if you want to make changes, or "Delete" if you want to get rid of the announcement entirely.
Navigate to your edit channel appearance page, and then copy and paste the location of the picture you want to use as your background into the "Background Image (URL)" box on the page. Hit the "Save Header and Background" button and your background image should now show up in your channel. To manage all of your comments, log in, and go to "Edit My Channel". At the bottom of your "Shortcuts" panel on the left, click on "Manage Comments" (You can also get to manage comments from the "More" drop down menu on the right side of the home page, or from your dashboard, which is displayed when you click on the arrow next to your username at the top of the page). Here, you can view all of the comments made on your videos, photos, and channel, and moderate them.
Select "Approve" or "Delete" and your comments will be moderated.
Should you approve a comment and decide to delete it later, simply go to your channel, find the comment under your comments section, (or Videos or Photos, depending on what media you're moderating comments for) and click "Delete Comment".
NOTE: This function only works if you have selected to moderate comments before they are posted. To do this, go to "Edit My Channel", click on "Edit Account" and at the bottom of the page, you can select to approve comments on your channel, videos, and photos. Under “Customize and Edit” on your “My Home” page you can easily customize your channels.
First, select the Template you wish to use. Then click the Layout button, once on the layout page the different boxes that makeup your profile become tangible, and you can then drag and drop them, add sections, and flip the layout. You can even add a “My Widget” box to most channels to embed your own widgets. What are Friend Categories and how do I use them?
