A director channel is intended for producers of original content to showcase his or her own videos. Nope! LiveVideo encourages creative diversity and welcomes documentarians and film makers to create director channels. Actors, comedians, extreme athletes, models, musicians, pranksters, sportscaster, and video bloggers are encouraged to create an entertainer channel. Director channels have additional features on their page including customizable headers, a video player on the channel page, the ability to add crew members to their channel, plus the ability to add video links from other sites. Director channels will be marked with a slate icon. You can choose if you want to have a video player on your channel. To change the video, go to “Edit My Channel” and click “Edit Channel Video Options.” Crew Members are people you worked with to create your videos. So make sure you give your crew members credit, and have them join LiveVideo! Crew members must sign up with LiveVideo to be added to your channel. Once they have created an account, you can request them be your crew member by going to “Edit My Channel” then “Edit My Crew.” From there you can add members by username to send them a crew request invitation. They must confirm accept the request for them to be added to your crew.
Crew members helped you out on your video and now they can help you on LiveVideo! When you add a crew member to your channel you can also give them permissions to help you approve and/or delete videos, approve friend requests, upload video and add links to your channel. Click on “Edit My Channel” and then "Edit Crew Members" and click on “Edit” to modify their crew permissions. Additionally, you can click "Delete" next to the crew member you would like to remove from your crew list.
The Add Link option is just one of the many cool and unique features of LiveVideo. If you’ve already uploaded one of your videos on another site, you or a crew member can now link it directly to your LiveVideo channel! It’s a quick and easy way to ensure your video collection is complete. Your linked video will show up on your LiveVideo channel under “Our Videos.” To be able to add a video link you must either have a director channel, or be a crew member with permissions to add links to a director channel. All you have to do is log in and go to the channel you wish to add a link to. Click on “Add Link” under “Our Videos.” From there, add the video URL, the image URL (right click on thumbnail and select “Copy Image Address”), plus a title and description. Let’s say your crew member has already uploaded a video you also worked on, and you want to add it to your channel too. We’ve made it easy for you to add that video to your channel without having to upload the video again. All you have to do is click the “Add to Channel” link under the video and choose which channel you would like to add it to and the video can be viewed from your channel! To moderate videos that have been added to your channel, go to “Edit My Channel” then “My Videos” to delete any videos. Yes. Your videos can be shared via direct links or video embed codes. Coming soon: If you have a director channel you can choose to allow users to download your videos, but you must own the content being downloaded. Video albums help you categorize your videos. If you want to avoid having the videos in your channel being redirected, create a new video that is soley designed to be used as a comment. Yes, you can. Navigate to "Edit My Channel" and then click on "Edit Channel Video Options" in the panel to the left. There will be a dropdown box which allows you to choose either manual start or autostart for your default video.
