General
There are many differences to the original Japanese version and the dubbed English versions. Every other dubbed version of Pokemon in different languages is always based on the sometimes modified English version, never the original Japanese version. There are many differences from the original Japanese more...version to the dubbed English version:
-Ever since the very first season, the opening title sequences have always been shortened by about 30 to 45 seconds for the dub, and all the shots are always rearranged in a specific order.
- There are no end title sequences for the dub, and there isn't a Professor Oak (Dr. Okido-Hakase) haiku poem at the end, and there is no preview for the next episode (maybe for the actual debuts of each episode, but I seriously doubt it)
-Some episodes are edited for content that is considered objectionable. This is a very rare occurence nowadays with the Diamond and Pearl episodes, but this was common back when there were 150 Pokemon, and edits started t less | My Movies
