Once I was walking down an alley with my rat terrier (25 pound dog) and a pit bull came running toards him, so I quickly picked him up and turned around so he wouldn't bite him. The dog was about to jump on me but when some drunken guy called the dog, it started to run back. |

We completely disagree with Breed Specific Legislation because it doesn't work. It has proven to be disastrous like in Denver Colorado. It is all in the owner. Any breed of dog can be agressive. It is up to the owner to train the dog properly and not leave a dog unattended. ALL dogs must be supervised. I see alot of people let their dogs go outside and they don't go with them. All it takes is one time of a stranger person stepping near their property and the dog will do the job it thinks it is supposed to do...guard. Dogs can't deciper between a "good" person or a "bad" person, they only see a "person" that doesn't belong there. It is up to the owner to show the dog that they are in charge of the guarding, not the dog. If the owner is not there or hasn't trained the dog that they are in charge, the dog will take it upon itself to do the guarding. |

Well if you mean the british bulldog then i would have to go with the..... what am i saying I love bulldogs any and all, much better that a rat dog ( no offence ) which i would most likley step on by mis-take. Both are good dogs though. |
