MD Energy Medicine researcher and clinician with a lifelong music habit. I got my first musician's union card at the age of 15 thanks to the MPTF (Musician's Performance Trust Fund) that has been promoting live music for decades.
The musical facet of my life has morphed into an activity I never dreamed of ever doing and that is the DJ work.
Since the Sixties I've been actively and personally involved with German Shepherds. My first GSD (German Shepherd Dog) was the son of Rin Tin Tin IV and his name more...was Eric. I was doing a Psychiatry residency at Stanford then and Eric taught me more about behavior in general and myself in particular than anything else in my life up to that point.
While I was privileged to do four years of postgrad medical training at a big ivy-towered academic center of the West Coast, I actually learned much more about behavior, consciousness, and life in general from the street. It was The Sixties. Drugs, Sex, and Rock 'n Roll ruled! I learned incredible things about all three subjects, but in reverse order of importance. Being in the presence of Janis and Big Brother at the Fillmore West forever REALLY changed my life. more later.... less |
