I'm currently working on improving my video sources, meaning re-ripping a lot of the DVDs, which takes forever. The sasunaru video will be finished as soon as I get all my video sources at high quality. I will upload that Far Away video, but I'm not too crazy about it, or the quality. Yes, the title is somewhat ironic, I made it that way on purpose. The anime is Utawarerumono, and the song is If Everyone Cared by Nickelback. THIS IS more...A VERY SPOILERIFIC AMV, for anyone who cares. The theme of this video is complicated, it's partly an outline of the plot and profiles some of the characters, but it shows both the joy and sadness of Hakuoro's world. The lyrics to this song fit perfectly with the series, and the theme is the overlying question of what the world would be like if there was peace. This is my first completed AMV to this particular anime, and I plan on entering this in the Anime Boston 2009 AMV contest. I did most of this in Vegas Movie Studio Platinum but I got the free trial of Vegas Pro and did a few brief masks with that. I think I'm going to buy the program. I want to learn masking, it's very tedious and time consuming but it will be worth it. And livevideo wrecks the quality, I just want people to know that. It looks better in it's original form. less

I figure I should post something new to show everyone that I haven't just been sitting around. This is a beta of my new AMV, and I'm just calling it Breath more...for now since I haven't made a title yet. To be honest, I'm actually pretty close to being done with this one, but I have a lot of blank spots here and there up until the end after this point, so here's a little preview. This WOULD HAVE been my action entry for Anime Boston's AMV contest this coming year if the purists hadn't jumped in and convinced the coordinator that Avatar isn't anime enough for Anime Boston. I was allowed to enter for the last two years, now I can't and it's not fair. D8 I don't blame the coordinator, he's a nice guy, but I know who made him tighten the rules. They don't care about the opinion of a single sixteen year old attending the con because all they care about is that the contest is growing, and, I quote the coordinator, have to "play it conservatively." Aka, if they let avatar in the contest then all the talented nasty elitist amv makers would stop entering the contest. God forbid. Well I'm coming back with a kick-ass Utawarerumono AMV next year to show them all what I can do. Meanwhile, Breath will be available for all you awesome people on the internetz. :D less

Posted here because Viacom is made of epic fail D:< ~~~~~~~~ Ok, please, before watching this, hear me out. This was by far the hardest video of this more...series for me to make. That is because The Southern Raiders was a really serious episode. Apart from the Sokka/Suki/Zuko tent scene, there isn't anything in it to laugh about. The whole episode was very gripping and emotional. Even more, I think the interaction between Zuko and Katara in this episode was essential to their character development. Katara needed a good reason to forgive Zuko, and Zuko needed to do something for Katara because he had betrayed her the most. I have to say that I wanted to see Katara take her revenge in that episode, but looking back, I'm glad she didn't. However, the more I think about it, the more Aang really had an influence in this episode despite the fact that he appeared in it very little. Because I liked the Zuko and Katara development in this episode, and because of how serious it was, it was difficult for me to make it humorous. Don't get me wrong, I like friendship!Zutara, I just can't picture them as lovers. I did my best to make this episode funny based on things I've seen and heard, and though I didn't touch on all the potentially "romantic" scenes, I tried to make my point about how Aang was right and how he understood Katara more, deep down. Sorry it took so long, I hope you like it. ^_^ Hopefully the next video will be funnier, because EIP had a much lighter mood. less

So I finally was able to fix the problem with Sony Vegas and bring this old AMV back to life. All I had to do was right click each clip and "disable the more...resample," whatever the heck that is, but it worked and the clips are rendering again. =D Yes, the song is edited because I simply couldn't fill the whole thing. The first place it's edited sounds really bad, but at the second place where it's edited it's hard to tell. Hope you like the finished version. ^_^ less

Here's what I've been working on lately. I know everyone makes a Katara tribute to this song, but I really wanted to make one too. xD This is a beta so more...any feedback is welcome, as not all of this is exactly the way it will be when I finish the video. This won't be finished until after the finale, because I want to put Katara flashbacks and epic finale scenes in this video. For those who know the song, the part I stopped at was when the music slows down, and that's where I intend to put the flashbacks. There is some subtle kataang in this, but for the most part this video is non-shipping, much more so than my other character tributes. less

After a ton of really annoying and tedious work, here is my newest AMV. I literally had to remake the AMV; I went through my finished version and replaced more...nearly every video clip with a higher quality one. It took a while.
There are a few minor mistakes in this video because of clips sizes; a few of my clips were 640x480 unlike the DVD footage, which was 720x480. But I'll fix those errors before Connecticon. I'm feeling really good about this AMV, I hope I win something.
I just watched this on livevideo, and I noticed the quality is not as good and a few of the flashes don't look as nice as in the actual file. Oh well, nothing I can do about that XD This is my first Aang tribute. The song is "Dance with the Devil" by Breaking Benjamin. Thank you Schyler for the song suggestion :D
The way I interpreted the lyrics was metaphorical; "dance with the devil" is fighting enemies. The lyrics are mostly Aang's thoughts, but when it gets to "I believe in you" I shifted to Katara, because she's the one who believes in Aang the most and helps him through the hardest times. There is some kataang in this video, but it's not too much.
There are a lot of effects, but not enough to give you a seizure. I'm not sure whether it would be better with more effects or if it's good as it is. Feedback on that aspect would be greatly appreciated.
Essentially, I spent FOREVER on this, so I really hope you like it :D less

I entered this video in the Valentines Day AMV contest at DH and it won first place. Since then, I wanted to edit a few things I was unhappy with and more...replace some of the pixellated DVD footage with cleaner DVD footage. Then, Sony Vegas started spazzing and not rendering the file correctly, so I had to rerender all of the clips that wouldn't work >_< Basically, it took me way longer to upload this than I had hoped, so please forgive me. I know not all the pixellated footage has been replaced, but I think I improved this a bit from my first version of it. Hope you like it ^_^ less

My old music video, redone and remastered, and entered in the romance category for Anime Boston 2008. I will update to let everyone know whether I am a finalist or not. The only thing that I don't like about this video is the horrible quality of some of the clips. But my S2 Book 4 and S3 Book 1 DVDs didn't come out as nice when I ripped them, for some reason. But it would have been a waste of time to use the regular episode files, because Anime Boston disqualifies anything with a logo in it. That's why my entries never made it last year. less

The theme of the video is Zuko's inner turmoil and his reflections on the past, the different people trying to persuade him to go to either side of the war, and how much he misses his mother. less
