Lately I've been listening to a lot of female singer/songwriters, the folk or Americana variety, like Catie Curtis, Melissa Ferrick, Ani DiFranco, Shawn Colvin, Amy Ray, Indigo Girls, Beth Orton, Dar Williams, Arlene McCann, Chris Pureka, Erin McKeown... but I also love folks like Bjork, Tori Amos, more...K.T. Tunstall, and Jem. Also listening to a lot of "old-time" music, fiddle and banjo tunes like Art Stamper, Jean Ritchie, Lillie Mae Ledford, Erynn Marshall, Melvin Wine, Bruce Greene. And listening to favorites Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Gillian Welch, Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, The Wood Brothers, David Gray, etc.
My all-time favorite bands since middle school have been U2 and REM. Finally saw U2 in concert in Cleveland, OH, in 2005. less | My Movies
