 The Need to Write
Sunday, September 7, 2008 (8:43 AM)
(I'm feeling gloomy)

I deleted my other blog again, and I felt like making a list of random feelings.  I have to leave soon, so I don't really want to put the time and effort into a flowing entry.

-Fans of Palin on Facebook make me chuckle a bit, but they also make me worry about our country.

-I wish a bit that I had left now.  I'm not at Disney... still at home.

-I'm still wondering why he dropped that stuff off at my house.  What a waste of his time and mine.

-My puppy is the most awesome puppy ever (pictures soon!).

-I wanted to set my current mood to "gross" instead of "gloomy," but that wasn't an option.

-Why is it so easy to get yourself into debt?

-Why is it so hard to avoid those few people I don't want to see it this town?  And when I'm not avoiding them, I can't avoid the thought of them.

Happier and more organized entries to follow.

 Crack Dreams
Wednesday, February 27, 2008 (6:51 AM)
(I'm feeling cheerful)
So I'm not really on crack, but I did have some pretty crazy dreams last night.   I dreamed that I went to a Ben Folds concert and ran into one of the better friends I've made here on LV.  I was having a great ol' time.  In fact, I never realized that I liked Ben Folds quite so much until this dream.  Then my LV friend starts trying to seduce Ben Folds in a really cheesy way as we're getting stuff signed by him, which I'm sure is totally out of character, but I found it to be funny.

Then I had another dream that Bob Barker was still the host of the Price is Right.  He had something that appeared to be a heart attack on stage and everyone started having a fit (I mean... I would, if I were there and that happened).  However, it turned out to be due to some celebrity conspiracy to have surgery so that they would all be able to morph into something else (like an animal or another person or a scary monster)... you know... to cut down on makeup on sets I'm sure.  I'm not sure what Bob Barker could morph into, but his surgery went awry I suppose.  I didn't see much past that, but I'm sure some highly skilled medical person fixed the problem

Well there you go... I'm not sure why the dream activity was so up last night, but at least I woke up this morning with a smile on my face.  Hope the rest of you did the same.
Mucho love,
Lisa

 Archives? I was unaware....
Saturday, February 23, 2008 (6:41 PM)
(I'm feeling sleepy)
I just realized that when you go live, your video stream is archived.  I watched part of my first live experiece.  How interesting and slightly weird I find this to be.  I didn't realize it was happening at all.  Ahh... the new technology.  That's about all I wanted to say.

 Fear
Monday, February 18, 2008 (8:52 AM)
(I'm feeling nervous)

Dear Livevideo,

I pose this question to you today... how do you get over your fear of vlogging in public?

Sometimes I have plenty of time between classes with which I could be making a video, but I can never find a place on campus to be alone.  I have this great idea for a vlog at the moment and I'm in a pretty quiet room, but there are two other people here as well and I would feel pretty silly talking to my laptop in front of them.

What the heck should I do?

What would you do?

^ A representation of me when it comes to vlogging in public.

Hope to hear some suggestions from you guys.

Mucho love,
Lisa

 Valentine's Day Aftermath and Neighbors
Sunday, February 17, 2008 (11:16 AM)
(I'm feeling content)

I need to surf around more on this thing so that I can find out how to sub to other people's text blogs.

So I got some pretty potted tulips for Valentine's Day, but I'm awful at keeping green things alive.  I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but it seems as soon as someone places a plant in my care, the thing just keels right over.  I try my best to provide the right amount of water, but it's either too much or not enough.  There's just no happy-medium for me.

Also, I live in town, but I have the most redneck neighbors ever.  When they decide to leave their house, it's like attending a monster truck show because they all have glass mufflers on their huge trucks *sigh*.  The partying has slowed down quite a bit, though, since they got into a fight with and shot someone in their yard.  I don't think the person was seriously injured, but they still scare me quite a bit.

And the excitement for today at my house was getting a new fridge.  I'm hoping it's big enough that I can hide some of my food from my step-dad in the back corners, lol.

Well... I hope all you folks are having a great day.

Be back with more soon!

 Starting Over
Wednesday, February 13, 2008 (9:45 AM)
(I'm feeling cheerful)

Dear Livevideo,

You have no idea how much I love text blogs and missed writing.  I had a blog at Xanga that I kept for about three years, but had to close it due to some drama with people I know in real life.  It made me a little sad to erase all of those past memories, but I figured that I'd remember the stuff that really mattered anyway.

So what this short entry is really just a thank you to LV for updating the site and adding these new features so we can go live (now the live part of livevideo makes sense) and blog, etc.  I'll probably be writing a bit more than I actually post videos.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day, whether you're taken or single.  If you're single, wait until the day after... then buy yourself a lot of awesome candy and flowers.  I'd recommend Dove chocolates and tulips.

Be back for another entry soon!

-Lisa
