| | The Summer Is About To Start | | | Saturday, July 19, 2008 (11:59 AM)
(I'm feeling excited) | | Well my son and daughter will be flying here next week for the summer holidays. They'll be here for around 6 weeks so I've been busy at home preparing things for their visit.
I spoke to their mum this morning and she was telling me that they are both really excited. Yesterday I stocked up on all their favourite foods and drinks and today I took delivery of a package of XBOX 360 games for them. I spoil 'em rotten simply because they are my life. Providing they're working hard at school and doing everything mum says without any cheek then I'm happy to do what I can to put a smile on their faces. As I'm not in England that often their schools send me regular updates by email so I'm fully updated about everything. The most recent emails came yesterday and I'm impressed with what I read.
My fiancée's children will also be here for the entire summer holiday so it's going to be busy. Their mum is having to juggle her shifts to be out here with us but it's workable. The only downside to it is the costs of the flights but thanks to the internet that's not a major problem as it's easy to shop around.
Steve's back in England so it's wierd not having him around the place. He'll be back soon though. He's really excited as he's moving into his own place soon. Then it'll be just me and that's how I like it. I have family here and plenty of mates but I prefer to chill at home with my K9 friends doing my own thing. I prefer visiting family and friends rather than them visiting me. There's nothing worse than people dropping in at the wrong time.
So the summer is about to officially start for me, even though it's sunny 330 or so days of the year!
