(I'm feeling determined) | | LVO! What a great time we are having! I am all ready to participate than have computer and camera trouble. I think when I get rolling, the comedy will be all about the frustration of not having my video's ready ..lol!
I am putting up number one as we speak..3 days late...
What is most important to me is that we as a community, care for each other..no other website does that for me...
Even if you wanted to, you could not get rid of me..

(I'm feeling loved) | | What is in a name? That which we call a rose, by any other name would smell as sweet.
As my grandson turned the big ONE in March, I know this verbose babe's burgeoning repertoire now include words like drink, ball, banana, hi and even the names of serveral animals. It will not matter what he calls me, even if this will be the sacred monkier-set in stone-to be used by countless future grandchildren.
I mused over the merits and disadvantages of various names, rolling them around on my toungue, tasting them, savoring them, trying them on for size. I like Grandma-ma (with the elegant accent on the last syllable)
Still waiting for my Darling Little Prince to make up his mind. I can't wait to hear what he has in store for the Grand-Person who's heart he has stolen. Maybe I'll be a cat, or a ball? I could live with that.
It's all "Chicken Soup for the Grandma's Soul".....

A logical extension of this belief is that I must control the external events in order to create happiness or avoid sorrow. Since such control has limitations and I am at a loss to completely manipulate the wills of others, there results a sense of helplessness and chronic anxiety. Ascribing unhappiness to events is a way of avoiding reality. While I may have only limited control over others, I have enormous control over my emotions.

Happy Spring! Things have gotten busier these days, with yard work and gardening added to the list. Just wanting to be outside, let alone the family get togethers, weddings, graduations, etc. Such is life.
My video's these days will mostly be of family and friends, as I can be with more people now that we are not snowed in anymore..yea! These video's might bore you, but for some reason, I can't upload to MySpace these days, but thinking it's the new editing software I am using, so, in order to show home video's to family, I am putting the "FAM BAM" collection here as well. Feel free to comment and hopefully I will return the favor, cuz you are my peeps...LOL!

| | Took the Boy for his drivers permit today! | | | Wednesday, May 7, 2008 (11:59 AM)
(I'm feeling drained) | | So hey ya'all! I took the boy for his permit test today. He passed. So I let him drive home from the exam station. All was cool, we were both doing fine. My only sermon to him these past weeks has been to watch out for the other guy. He has been driving around the farm, and is pretty good actually. So I tell him we'll take the backroads. Easy enough, right? We're going about 50 mph, when a semi thinks he will proceed through his stop sign as we are coming over a hill.....all I can utter is..stop, stop, stop. My poor son's eyes are as big as saucers, and my heart skips a beat...he is able to stop our car 2 feet prior to us being toast...
My son says, why did he do that mom? I say because he's an asshole, and teach him the most valuable lesson on the road. People are crazy....
