Human Beings Are Not Afraid Of Hell
Friday, January 9, 2009 (6:33 PM)
(I'm feeling curious)
The devil’s primary objective is to get you to doubt or question the authenticity of God’s word. He successfully persuaded Eve to doubt God’s warning of death should they eat the fruit. In doubting God, she ate and shared it with Adam. As God had promised, they eventually died and the cycle of death continues today. God’s original plan was to send Satan and his angels to hell and have mankind live forever to rule and reign with him. Satan resolved to not make this possible and thus resort to deceive mankind and take as many as possible with him to hell.

Satan has not changed his modus operandi; he continues to work feverishly throughout the ages to have people continuously view the word of God as having no consequence. Just as he deceived Adam and Eve into believing they would not die as God had promised, he continues today to deceive man into believing there are no consequences for sin and there is no hell. Those who are smart enough to believe the bible about the existence of hell, he deceives them into believing that God is too loving to send anyone there.

The bible talks about hell more than any other single subject—54 times to be exact. Hell is described as eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels (matt 25:41); an eternal punishment (matt 25:46); a place where the worn never dies and the fire never goes out (mk 9:48); a lake of fire (rev 20:14), a place of utter darkness (matt 8:12); a fiery furnace where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth (matt 13:50). In various parts of the bible, God took oaths in order to demonstrate or affirm the seriousness of his promises to reward the righteous and punish the rebellious. He says: “As surely as I live, I, the Lord God Almighty will punish him who breaks my covenant”. (Ezekiel 17:19). “Heaven and earth will pass away before any word that I speak passes away”. (matt 24:35). “God is not man; therefore, he cannot lie. Whatever he says, he will do”. (Num 23:19).

During Noah’s time, people were warned for 120 years about an impending flood and no one believed. The bible says they mocked and laughed at Noah as he preached and built his ark. Eventually the flood came, and only Noah was saved. Citizen of Sodom and Gomorrah were warned about their vile and vulgar lifestyle and no one listened or changed and eventually, they were all killed. For centuries people were told that Jesus Christ would be born of a virgin in order to restore man to God. Many did not believe, and when it happened, they crucified him.

Same thing happening today.  People are constantly warned about the consequences of their sinful actions and like those before, they laughed, mocked and make no effort to change. It amazes me how people blaspheme God, calls him names and disrespect him, yet the bible says that Satan and his angels tremble in fear at the name of Jesus. The bible says they are terrorified at the prospect of their future. In Luke 8:30—when Jesus Christ cast the demons out of a man, the bible says they begged Christ not to send them to hell.  Demons who are much more powerful than human beings know that hell is real and they are terrified, yet human beings are silly enough to believe there’s no need to fear hell.

Far from the illusion that Satan and his followers will reign in hell, God created hell as a place of punishment. They will be in too much tourment and suffering to worry about reigning over anything. Satan is aware of his ultimate destiny and is scared to death. God's word states that Satan knows that he has only a short time, so he deceives the whole world desiring to bring as many people down with him as possible (Rev 12:9-12) If you think there is no need to fear hell for an eternity, try sitting for an hour in your oven at a 200 degree temp.

I AM A GOOD PERSON, WHY CAN'T I GO TO HEAVEN
Thursday, January 1, 2009 (11:06 AM)
(I'm feeling contemplative)
You have a set of criteria one entering your home must satisfy. For example, he/she must be a family member, a friend, etc. The devil also has pre-requisites to qualify for hell. His requirements are that you refuse to acknowledge you are a sinner and that Christ died for your sins, hence, the ultimate rebellion against God—refusal to accept his son, Jesus Christ, as your Lord and Savior. As a result, you reject the forgiveness he died to offer you. Just like me, you, and the devil, heaven is God’s home and he too has the right to determine who enters his home. The set standards for entering his home are: (1) recognize and acknowledge that you are a sinner; (2) accept the fact that it was your sin that Led Jesus Christ to the cross; (3) confess to God that you are a sinner, and (4) invite Jesus Christ into your heart.

I guarantee it will take you awhile to indentify another individual whose honesty, character and integrity equal mine in strength; yet, I still cannot enter your home. Why, because I have not met your requirements. Without your knowledge and consent, If I were to make myself at home in your house, you would undoubtedly have me arrested. But why would you have me arrested? After all, I am a good person. Do you see my point? The same principle applies for those of you desiring to enter heaven. It matters not how much of a good person you are, you cannot enter unless you adhere to God’s requirement. Besides, by whose standard do you measure your goodness? If it is by this world’s standard you will never ever see heaven, as this world's standard falls incredible short of God’s perfect standard.

Outside of accepting Jesus Christ as your savior, the premise upon which you could enter heaven base on your own doing is that you would have to be as perfect as God himself. God being aware of this impossible task knew none of us would ever enter heaven, he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sin, hence making it possible for us to enter. With all things considered, in the final analysis, if you choose to ignore God’s criteria for entering his home and you are hoping to get there based on your own goodness, you are directly satisfying the devil’s requirement for entering hell and you will never see heaven.

HOW TO LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER
Friday, December 26, 2008 (5:01 PM)
(I'm feeling content)

The bible credits God with creating everything and everyone including the devil. It states the Devil was the most perfect, majestic and beautiful angel in heaven. It asserts that at some point, pride and jealousy entered  his heart, and he decided to rebel against God, overthrow Him and take control of heaven and earth. His objective was to be God and be worshipped. He managed to convince 1/3 of the angels to join forces with him in assuming ownership of heaven. This ignited a war between God and the devil. God won, and the devil was subsequently thrown out. God remained in heaven and created hell for Satan to spend eternity.

Intially, there was just one ruler, God Almighty, with the rebellion, now there are two--God and the devil. Human beings, like Satan, have rebelled against God, and consequently were destined for hell. Not desiring for us to suffer in hell, as its intended purpose was for the destruction of the devil and his angels, God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sin, thus making it possible for us, unlike the devil, to escape hell, if we wish.

God gave us a choice to serve him and go with him to heaven or serve the devil and go with him to hell. He will never take away your ability to choose, and whatever decision you make, he will honor it. When you refuse to accept Jesus Christ as Lord of your life, turn from your sin and trust him,  you consciously choose to make Satan your Lord and Master and thus, to the world, announced your willingness to follow him  into hell.  The bible says the eternal suffering and torment that await those who choose to follow the devil to hell are beyond human comprehension. It further asserts that you will forever cursed the day you were born. On the contrary, it affirms that the eternal joy and happiness that await those who follow Christ to heaven is unfathomable.

You may think I'm propagating propaganda, but consider this: if you were born during the days of Noah and were warned of the impending flood soon to destroy an entire civilization and spare only Noah and family, can I conclude that you would have laughed and mocked the messenger?  Yet, there is scientific proof that the earth was covered by water. Similarly if you were born  during the time people heard that a virgin girl was impregnated with the son of God who would later on die for the sins of the world and be resurrected in three days would you have laughed and mocked? History reckoned this story to be true. This same principle applies today. Do you believe I am spreading heresy and thus feel inclined to laugh? Well, guess what, one day you will discover its true, unfortunately, it will be too late.

Christ died to provide you with the oppropunity to live happily forever.  All you need to do is: (1)  acknowledged that you are a sinner; (2) believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for your sins (3) ask God to forgive your sins, come into your heart and be your Lord, Savior and Master; and (4) find a church where you can fellowship with other believers, as you will draw encouragement and strength from them. Remember, we become like the people with whom we socialize the most. This is all you need to do to receive this everlasting hapiness Christ promised.

THE STUPIDITY OF SO-CALLED INTELLECTUALS' REASONING NEVER CEASED TO AMAZED ME
Monday, December 22, 2008 (9:31 AM)
(I'm feeling amused)
People just love to affirm their intelligence and are quick to request that the notion of an existing God not be asserted.  Many are all too anxious to inform believers that their belief in a God is equivalent to believing in fairytale. Scientists have already concluded that the bible contains historical facts that Jesus Christ did exist as a historical person and that his works and teachings confirmed him to be the son of God, hence putting to death this fairytale argument.

The bible says the ways of the Lord cannot be searched and that the minds of human cannot fully understand him. Notwithstanding, people are not deterred from evaluating God based on their own imperfect standards. They try to gain understanding of how He operates which is simply idiotic and illogical because God is infinite and human beings are not.  So-called intellectuals,or very smart People, hold the view that if they cannot understand how God works, and how he does what he claims to do, then all his assertions mount to naught.  No wonder the bible says God sits up in heaven and laughs at them because they are fools. These people conveniently forget that  the laws of physics show that one can see only a narrow spectrum of light radiation or the definite sound frequencies etc.

The limitations of human capabilities are obvious. It is understood that not everyone can become artists, engineers, doctors, lawyers, etc; and not everyone would sit down to compete in a game of chess with the grand master having honestly evaluated his/her own skills, and only a lunatic would argue with a brain surgeon as to the correct way of  operating on the brain having never done any form of studies in this discipline. Nonetheless, man has the audacity to evaluate God and determine His capabilities, and are even audacious enough to challenge everything he said he did, example, the raising of Jesus Christ from the grave the parting of the red sea?  This means that people judge God, their creature, as clay and vessel equal to themselves. Have you ever wondered why Jesus Christ, when he was on earth, chose people who society wrote off as "dumb, unlearned, outcast, ignorant, bottom-dwellers etc to be his disciples? It is because God views these people as some of the smartest souls to ever walked the earth. They recognized their human limitations and the fact that they are not all-knowing and hence, were willing to submit themselves and learn from a being who embodies all knowledge, wisdom and understanding.

People are so fascinated over the wonders of creation; however, they deny the wisdom and intellect that is responsible for it. They claim that nature itself is genius enough and conclude that their is no creator to take the credit for such perfection. However, if they are shown a watch, a computer whatever, they would say the item/s were created by an intelligent mind and did not come about by themselves. Yet, they contend that creation came about by itself. Now, do you see the contradiction and paradox of the so-called intellectuals' reasoning?

When people asked, how could I, being so educated, believe in God, I laugh, because it takes more faith to believe there is no God than it does to believe. No wonder the bible says "Only a fool would say there is no God." The more education I acquire, the more I am convinced that there is a God. For those of you who do not believe, just hang on, a great surprise awaits you. Jesus Christ is not some bored idiot in heaven with no friends and nothing to do and one day decided to visit earth to be beaten upon mercilessly, humiliated and crucified. He stepped out of heaven and subjected himself to time and space for a purpose. He suffered excruciating and humiliating death for a reason. It has to be something that is completely terrifying and horrific that awaits us after death that motivated him to do this. The choise is yours to accept him and reap eternal life or reject him and reap eternal damnation.

IF HELL IS SUCH A HORRIFIC PLACE, WHY WOULD A LOVING GOD SEND PEOPLE THERE
Wednesday, December 17, 2008 (10:36 AM)
(I'm feeling contemplative)
What Is Heaven Like? Heaven, God's home, is the perfect embodiment of all that God represents. The bible says all good things come from God, i.e. light, goodness, loves, peace, happiness kindness joy etc.

What Is Hell Like? Hell, the home of the devil, is the total package of all that he personifies. If everything good comes from God, it goes without question that everything negative comes from the devil. Hence, hell would be a place of darkness, bitterness, rejection, hatred, regret, oppression, depression, sadness, misery, torment, isolation--no friends, no families etc.

To gain some perspective on what hell is like, simply view the condition of our world today.  The hatred, cruelty and pain daily inflicted on the innocents are pathetic.  God is not in total control of our world--we are!!! Unfortunately, because we reject Christ, we ultimately reject everything that is good. The gravity of our hatred and malice is not  fully realized, as there are elements of God's goodness still being demonstrated all around us.  Imagine a world that was completely void of God, and all that he represents, and you will gain great insight into what hell is like.

Why Is The Contrast Between Hell And Heaven So Extreme? Because all the wonderful things--love, joy, peace, happiness etc that we enjoy today come from God and the absence of God in hell results in the absence of all these wonderful things.

If Hell Is Such A Horrific Place, Why Would A Loving God Send People There? The bible reveals three immutable things about God: (1) he is a spirit (2) he is invisible (3) he is immortal. He loves us so much that he made us just like him, in that, we too are spirits, we are invisible and we are immortal. When you look in the mirror, you do not see the real you, you see a reflection of your body. This means, after you die, your spirit, the real you, lives on. God is sovereign, and he gave you and me our own sovereign will to chart our own destiny.

God was being true to his nature, his character, as being a God of love when he (1) took onto himself your sins and died on the cross for them and (2) offers you, by way of salvation, a free pass to heaven. He designed you to receive and respond to his love, and to hear and understand his call and respond on your own. By rejecting what Jesus Christ did on the cross for you, and by ignoring his call for you to turn from your sins and turn to him, you are actually enforcing your sovereign will. In essence, you are actually saying to God, leave me alone, whether in this life or the next, I do not wish to be with you or have anything to do with you. If God were to neglect and deny us our ability to reason, think independently and choose our destiny, then that would make him unfair, unloving, unkind and definitely not all powerful. Think about it.

If your desire is to die without Christ and go to hell, then he is bound to honor and respect your wish and leave you alone. Therefore, it stands to reason that God does not send anyone to hell. people go to hell because of their own volition and God will not override it or else he would make us slaves. The choice is yours to make. You can choose to reject Christ and spend an eternity void of his presence, or you can choose to accept him and continue to enjoy all the great and wonderful things that he embodies. The choice is yours.  Choose wisely.

JESUS' DISCIPLES ARE THE DUMBEST MEN EVER LIVED
Monday, December 22, 2008 (11:39 AM)
(I'm feeling rejuvenated)

Simon Peter, one of Jesus' disciples, denied knowing Christ three (3) times. Paul hated Christians with a passion and had millions of them murdered. Thomas, another disciple, known as "doubting thomas" refused to believe the disciples when they told him Jesus Christ had risen from the grave and had appeared to them. His statement was: "Except I see in his hands the print of the nails, put my finger into the nail print and thrust my hand into his side, I will never believe." Finally, when Jesus Christ was taken away to be crucified, all of his disciples forsook him and ran away out of fear.

Later on, Simon Peter was crucified up-side down on a X cross for preaching about Jesus' resurection.  Paul was tortured and then beheaded for preaching about Jesus. Thomas, or  "doubting Thomas" was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his missionary trips.  Of the other disciples who forsook Jesus and ran away due to fear: James was put to death "with the sword"    Matthew suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia.  John faced martyrdom when he was boiled in a huge basin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution in Rome.  After being miraculously delivered, he was sentenced to the mines on the prison island of Patmos. James was thrown over a hundred feet from the southeast pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. He survived the fall, but his enemies beat him to death with a club. Bartholomew, also known as Nathanael was martyred for his preaching in Armenia, when he was flayed to death by a whip. Andrew was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Greece. After being whipped severely by seven soldiers, Andrew's body was tied to the cross with cords to prolong his agony. He continued to preach to his tormentors for two days until he died. Matthias was stoned and then beheaded.

Given the background of these men, previous to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, what later on infused such boldness that they were willing to suffer these horrendous and humiliating deaths rather than deny their faith in Jesus Christ? Is the  bible then correct that these men had seen Jesus after he was crucified, walked with him and witnessed him being taken up into heaven. If Jesus had not been resurrected, the disciples would have known. Given their cowardliness, they would not have died for a lie.  They were willing to die horrible deaths, rather than renounced their faith in Christ.  This is tremendous evidence that they had truly witnessed the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In the final analysis, if my assertion about the disciples seeing the resurected Christ does not hold true, then Jesus' disciples are the dumbest men ever lived.  If on the other hand you subscribe to my view, that Jesus Christ did indeed died and was resurected, then my question to you is: what for?  My friend, if there are no consequences for our sins, then Christ died in vain and if he did not die in vain, could it be that he is genuinely trying to save you from a terrible fate which awaits you after death, as the bible proposes?

My friend, the ability to go to heaven after we died is a free gift Jesus Christ died to give us.  Why don't you accept it today by simply invite him into your heart to be your Lord and Savior so that when you die you do not have to suffer the consequences for your own sins.
