(I'm feeling Somber) | | I came into work this morning, and received some sombering news. A friend of mine, Jer, was at a party at his girlfriends house in Detroit on Saturday night. Now, apparently, his girlfriend had an issue with one of the other girls at the party, and had her and her boyfriend leave.
She followed the two out to the front porch to make sure that they were leaving, when the boyfriend rolled down the window on the car that they were driving, and shot some rounds at the house, striking Jer's girlfriend in the stomach.
Jer came out and was trying to keep her conscious by smacking her in the face until help arrived.
But it was too late.
She made it to the hospital and died in surgery.
