If you were walking down your local street and strange women came and asked you for $1000 would you give it to her? No I don’t think so, so for the same reason why would a man want to send money to strange women in another country he has never met?

Money for Internet:
This one is the most basic scam and is one of the most common; it is also very easy to fall for as the money involved is very little to many
Usually this scam will work with you after you have been writing 4/5 letters to your Russian brides and you have built up a little sense of a relationship. Typically you will receive a letter from the lady saying it is getting expensive for her to communicate with you as she does not have her own internet and has to use an internet café. Do not believe this!! Most Russians have their own internet at home, and if not use of an internet café in Russia now is very cheap and affordable to all.
Money for Agency Use:
This is a slight variation of the internet scam. Usually 4/5 letters will be exchanged with your lady then out of the blue you will receive a letter like the one below.
Dear Sir, you have been corresponding with our lady ksenia maximova. Ksenia is in our agency and uses our internet services to communicate with foreign men She likes you very much and wishes to continue correspondence with you. However, we help ksenia by translating all her letters from and to you and charge a small fee of $2 a letter, should you wish to continue with your communications with ksenia we would ask that you make a payment to us to cove ksenias next few letters. You can make payment to us by Western union.…
Again, it all comes down to money. Don’t send money!
Visa and airfare scam:
This is a very easy scam to spot, there are a few different types of the same scam, and it is even sometimes used by Nigerian scammers pretending to be Russian brides. The usual story for this type of scam is, you would have been communicating with a lady for a few weeks or months, she will start to tell you about her undying love for you, and how much she wants to meet you. The next thing she will tell you is she has a friend at the embassy or working in travel agents who can get her a Visa and a ticket usually for about $1000, but she needs to pay for this fast if you want her to visit.
Well we all know none of this is true!! Unless she was very wealthy she would not be able to get a visa to visit the USA or western Europe, it’s just another way to scam money off you, if you send any money you will be sure never to hear from her again!.
Just remember NEVER SEND MONEY!!
New apartment scam:
This is not a very nice scam, there are a few versions.
Version 1: You pay for the apartment in advance (you will either pay the woman directly, or she will direct you to a phony agency) and then there is no more contact. You lose your money.
Version 2: You get there, meet the woman and pay for the apartment. Then she disappears.
It is never a good sign to use women’s contacts, all these things you can do yourself, it’s very easy to arrange your own apartment in any FSU country, just search the internet, you will save yourself a lot of money.
Visa scam:
With this scam a women will typically tell you she has a few weeks left on her tourist visa, and only needs money to buy the tickets to fly to you, she will then be able to come to your country and meet you, how romantic!!HOLD ON!! Do you really think a single Russian lady will have a tourist visa?? No way!!
Once again DON’T SEND MONEY! You will lose it for sure.
Neutral Country Meeting scam:
This is a common scam, you have probably been writing for a few weeks or months and have suggested a meeting, or she has probably suggested to you it’s time to meet. For some reason she will suggest to you she thinks it will be a better idea to meet in a neutral country, maybe she will say her city is not very safe, or she has always wanted to go to the country she suggests meeting at. You can be 100% sure of one thing, when you send her the money for a ticket you will never hear from her again!
So how do you avoid these and other scams whilst searching for Russian brides??? Well this is the easiest thing to do believe it or not, it comes down to one simple rule: NEVER SEND ANY MONEY TO SOMONE YOU HAVE NEVER MET!
