 Last Night From the RNC
Thursday, September 4, 2008 (10:06 PM)

last thoughts from the xcel energy center while the minority & migrant workers are busy cleaning up all the confetti & balloons around us. these republicans sure know how to "make it rain" up in hurrrrrrrrr! now where did those strippers disappear to?

today started out with my usual coverage of all the protesters and listening to the daily jibbah jabbah of the supposed oppressees against their oppressers. the best chuckle came when i saw the driveby of a red double decker bus with a banner that reads....CLOSETED GAY REPUBLICAN BUS TOUR. i bet that bus was packed and standing room only full of guys in a "wide stance". i wonder how much toe tapping was going on inside that fairy bus.

so honestly, i was totally bored with all the speeches tonight. the video close ups on tv don't do any justice to the awesome work these guys did behind the scenes putting up the visuals and cool graphics during the festivities. i guess maybe only live event junkies such as myself could find deep appreciation for all the hard work these guys do to put on a good show....despite the fact that the organizers of this convention turned this baby into a total snooze fest. yeehaww baby!

is it just me or is john mccain purposely trying to distance himself from good o' dubya? awww poor georgey boy....nobody likes him anymore. all week it's been reagan this and reagan that. what about george folks..c'mon everybody, hasn't the last 8 years been.....ohhhhh, yeah nevermind.

i couldn't help but laugh my head off during the beginning of mccain's speech during the green grass background. i can't wait for stephen colbert to do another greenscreen youtube challenge. good lord, this guy is obviously not in the same league in the presidential speech category as obama. his campaign team better figure out an inventive way to get his propaganda out without having to make any big public speeches.

okay...time to show a little journalistic integrity and get some real work done now. did anybody see what direction those hookers went???

 Day 2 at the RNC
Wednesday, September 3, 2008 (8:44 PM)
(I'm feeling impressed)
a few quick notes from tonight's RNC before i get back to my real job.

whether you agree with her politics or beliefs, sarah palin kicked obama & biden right in the nuts tonight. i know she probably didn't write most of the speech, but she did an excellent job getting the message across to the rest of the world tonight. the baracuda was on the warpath. i think she almost gave me a stiffy....yeah, she's a total potential VPILF. joke of the night: what's the difference between pitbulls & hockey moms? lipstick

well...the other speakers before palin were fairly lame. they were spitting out the usual conversative propaganda and half lies & yadda yadda yadda. pretty much the same thing the democrats did last week in denver. ex-mayor giuliani is a one trick pony and he needs to be put to sleep. a few good points, but he annoys the hell outta me. ex-governor huckleberry...i mean, huckabee was better. i couldn't help but laugh to myself about the chuck norris endorsement commercial while watching the man speak. mitt romney kept talking about prescriptions in the beginning of his speach and all i wanted to do was yell out...MORE COWBELL!!!!

uh ohhh, the bbc guys wants me as a "crowd response" interview again. i should start charging these colonial slavemasters for my opinions. hahaha

more updates to come tomorrow night after the old man speaks....

Day 1 at the RNC in St Paul
Tuesday, September 2, 2008 (9:57 PM)
(I'm feeling productive)
as i'm typing this from my press area in the xcel energy center here in mn for the republican national convention...i can't help but notice that there are some beautiful women up in hurrrrr tonight!!!  okay...focus...what was i gonna say.

oh yeah, so i won't bore you with any of my political views. i've hosted & thrown many live events in my time and i can't help but be disappointed with the lack of spontaneity and excitement these republicans are giving me on day 1. the speakers were okay, but not compelling. the speakers were spewing their own brand of propaganda, but they were very bland. aside from a few hot chicks in certain area (hmmmm can we say hookers?) there wasn't much going on that would make me say "WOW".

the only thing that made me say "WOW" was the amount of security involved for me just to get inside this frickin building. parking sucks. i have to get on the shuttle to get around and it's still a pain in the ass to haul things around in order for me to do what i need to do to meet my deadlines. (wow was that a pretty gangsta run-on sentence or what) uh ohhhh....someone wants me on the radio.

hurray, i just got interviewed by those crazy brits from the bbc. i haven't spit out these many cliches since my good o' days playing football in college. i guess i'll stop for now. time to find a shuttle so i can get back to da hotel.....

 dealing with the sickness...
Sunday, August 17, 2008 (1:42 PM)
(I'm feeling annoyed)
while i'm sitting here in the living room, pondering various projects i've been procrastinating on doing....i figured that this might be the most non-productive way of not doing what i should be doing today. my normally chipper and super sexy voice is not well, so i'm trying to rest it as much as i can. so that means...very limited phone calls and very lmited speaking until the sacred vocal chords have fully healed. i've never realized how many peeps actually call me on an every day basis. i totally need a personal assistant.

the olympics sucks. yeah, hurray for michael phelps for being the greatest swimmer in olympic history and yadda yadda yadda. is it just me or does he remind you of a younger non-cajun version of eli manning from the ny giants? no, i'm not talking about the physique in the speedos....just compare the way they both talk. anywhos, the olympics gives me more justification why i don't care for and will never give a flying fart about most of the sports they show every 4 years. i get the whole swimming, gymnastics, volleyball, and track & field bit...but rowing, & badmington??? seriously....oh, don't get me started on being forced to watch the marathon run. great programming drama there! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

this green tea is awesome. hmmmm i wonder what it would taste like if i blended it with some mountain dew? ummm on second thought, maybe not.

maybe i should go to the gym today.

i hate how everybody is trying to pretend to be so environmentally conscious all of a sudden. these commercials are so lame. yes i am proud to drive a big gas guzzling cadillac escalade. somebody's gotta help contribute to the record profit margins of the petroleum industry. that's part of the reason why we went into iraq anyways right? hmmmmm maybe i should trade in the caddi for the new escalade hybrids coming out in a few months. maybe that might get me some treehugger cred.

dayem, september is coming up already. my travel schedule doesn't look very appealing. austin, tx....los angeles...milwaukee...duluth...fargo. i should become a musician and book some tour dates while i'm on the road.

time for some more medication. does anybody have some vicodin?
