(I'm feeling artistic) | | | So after the very productive weekend; filming a few new bits and finishing production on our BlueGiraffe pilot, Blue Giraffe looks back with great accomplishment. You the public will be able to view all the new material very shortly. We are also in pre-production for our second episode of BG News, A 20 min sitcom full of random characters and all the stupid bits that make Blue Giraffe oh so stupid. | | Oh what a weekend!!! | | | | Monday, May 19, 2008 (2:46 PM) | | | So for those of you that caught some of our Live Show know that we were filming some new skits this weekend. Actually from Friday to Monday we filmed 6 skits. Some of them you will see sooner than later.
The "rough cut" of our pilot is done. So now it is time to tweak it and polish it so maybe somebody will say "GOOD JOB".
Our plans are to start releasing a new skit every week or two. And depending on our internet connection, we will be streaming behind the scenes for everyone to enjoy and mock.

(I'm feeling exanimate) | | | Hello everyone. Just so you know. This Saturday, May 17. Blue Giraffe is will be filming a couple of bits for our Myspace, LiveVideo, and FunnyorDie pages.... also for you....I guess. Through the power of satellites and shit I don't really understand, we will be streaming our filming of a bit called "Sean Penn wishes he was as talented an actor as Blue Giraffe", live...LIVE! We will be starting this magical experience at 6pm. If you are at all interested in our process or you are just really bored, then tune in. Also "Sean Penn wishes he was as talented an actor as Blue Giraffe" will be featuring Chris Thompson aka JungleBoy singing in a very sexy cameo. So... We've posted some pictures in our picture section from one of the shoots. Check them out. They're awesome AND confusing.
So far we're on schedule for the pilot. Depending on editing, and whether or not Steve continues to be a baby about filming certain scenes (nude love scenes anyone?) then we should be done filming everything for the pilot in about a week or so. Then we edit. If all goes well, we're hoping to have it done by the end of the month. I'll admit that a date of May 31st is optimistic, but it's not completely unfeasible. That's all for now.

| | What's new!? | | | | Sunday, May 4, 2008 (3:29 PM) | | First a little history on the Blue Giraffe writing team. We officially became a writing team in January, and to that point, had only filmed 2 sketches. Since then we've grown by leaps and bounds. The inclusion of a new camera, the use of sound and lighting equipment, and regular writing sessions have allowed our films to not only grow in quality, but quantity as well.
If any of you folks out there are wondering what we've been up to, then this is for you. If not, F off cuz you're gonna find out anyways.
The BG writing team has been working on many sketches, a pilot, and another music video which will be of a different genre then the original Blue Giraffe video (we need to stretch out our musical wings if you will). So far most of the sketches we've filmed have been posted, with the exception of 1, which is in post. We have plans to film more sketches the weekend of the 16th of May, plus parts of the follow-up episode to the pilot. It should be awesome. I'm not going to say too much, just that if you like any of our current sketches, the new ones are going to blow them away. We have plans to try and release a new sketch every 2 weeks.
We've gotten a lot of questions from friends/fans of our work as to when we're going to release the pilot. We still have a couple of scenes to film to complete it. Along with editing and sound, it could be completed as early as the end of the month, but not likely. Then there's the question of whether or not we're going to release it directly after we're done. We'll keep you updated.
