HAVE YOU SEEN A UFO ?

How Many People Have Seen UFOs?
< Back

If UFOs exist surely there would be more sightings.

In my daily life, now and again I will bring up the subject of UFOs, mainly out of curiosity to find out peoples general opinion. On many occasions, not only do I hear somebody’s opinion, but quite often people are convinced they have seen a UFO. On each occasion they have never reported it because of fear of ridicule.

Last week I was in the post office buying a local paper to see if an advertisement had been placed about a talk I was giving in Gateshead. An elderly woman behind me in the queue tapped me on the shoulder, “Have you seen one”, her eyes were wide open with anticipation, “Actually I haven’t”, I replied. To which she replied, “I have”. Then she proceeded to tell me about it. “It was in Felling in 1960 and witnessed by 40 people”. She then went onto explain how it was not an aircraft or any kind of natural phenomena, but said that all of the witnesses kept quiet because they were afraid of being made fun of.

At the Gateshead presentation many people approached me afterwards to give me their stories about UFOs. In fact one third of the audience had witnessed a UFO. I received emails from many people and a comment in one of them summed up the feeling of many UFO witnesses. “This is one of many sightings I have seen over the years, from as far back as the 1970s and people laugh at me when I tell them, but I felt quite normal at your meeting”.

I do not imagine that every instance of these sightings is an alien from outer space. Researchers who investigate UFO stories, including the Ministry of Defence can usually find a logical explanation for about 95% of sightings, 5% remain unexplained. In my experience however, for each sighting that is reported there are many that are not.

I will be following up all of the reports given to me at the presentation and reporting in this column any significant findings over the coming weeks. One gentleman claims to have superb unpublished photographs of a UFO, only ever seen by him and his son. I have arranged to meet him this evening to see these photographs.

Next time you are in a pub ask the person next to you if they have ever seen a UFO, you might be surprised. If you have aUFO story I would love to hear it, you can report it by visiting www.richplanet.net.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN UFOS ?

Do you beleive in UFOs?
< Back

Do you believe in UFOs?, Whatever your answer I hope you will continue to read, perhaps I can enlighten you on this fascinating subject over the coming weeks. My background is scientific, I do not believe in the paranormal, nor do I believe in ghosts and I am not particularly religious. I am very critical of most UFO cases, and know that there is much false information out there. If you take the time to unravel this information, you find there is much more to Ufology than people realise, it's not just about people seeing lights in the sky. Many Ufologists pursue witnesses that have seen things in the sky in order to interview them. Seeing lights in the sky is just one part of this subject, and I am sure the answer does not lie there, the answers are already here on Earth.

Each week I will expose a piece of evidence or witness that has not been covered extensively by the mainstream media, which will bring us closer to the truth. You would be amazed how much information there is which has not been the given coverage in the News. There seems to be an increasing amount of interest in our Newspapers and TV about the existence of aliens and UFOs, and I will also be keeping you informed of any new cases that come to light.

Last week I spoke to Ray Bowyer, a pilot who witnessed a yellow cigar shaped object in the sky over Guernsey in April last year, the object was over half a mile wide! You may remember Ray, he appeared on the Richard and Judie show about a year ago. The UFO was also detected by ground radar, which means it was definitely a solid object. A team from Sheffield University have been trying to get to the bottom of this mystery and have concluded that there is no explanation. In the coming weeks I will provide answers to this and many more unsolved cases. If you have had an experience which you would like to share, then please contact me via my website, www.richplanet.net.

Former minister a true believer in UFOs

http://www.ottawacitizen.com/Technology/Former+minister+true+believer+UFOs/1650224/st ory.html

Paul Hellyer, a former Canadian defence minister, is an outspoken believer that aliens have in the past, and still are, visiting Earth. He believes the future of our planet could depend on them.

When we sat down together at the Delta Hotel Wednesday, it wasn't a usual interview. No questions. It opened with a statement from the newspaper guy. "I'm a skeptic. Convince me."

Kennedy linked US-USSR space missions with classified UFO files

http://www.opednews.com/articles/Kennedy-linked-US-USSR-spa-by-Dr-Michael-Salla-09052 8-233.html

In 1963, President John F. Kennedy launched a ground breaking initiative to get the USSR and USA to cooperate in joint space and lunar missions. In the background of this publicly announced initiative with powerful Cold War implications was a more secretive attempt to release classified UFO files. Leaked documents reveal that Kennedy instructed the CIA to release classified UFO files as part of the cooperative space effort with the Soviet Union. If Kennedy had succeeded, there would have been joint space mission to the moon and eventual public release of classified UFO files by both the US and USSR. President Kennedy's assassination quickly led to the abandonment of his joint moon mission with the USSR, and ended his administration's effort to force the CIA to release classified UFO files.

 BOOK REVIEW The Other sky.
Wednesday, November 19, 2008 (5:41 AM)
Growing up on opposite sides of the United States, the authors attribute a sequence of unusual events which brought them together in the Midwest where they instantly bonded for life as best friends.

Both Ms. Mellas and Mr. Caywood describe how the alien contact affected their personal lives and relationships. Having supporting family groups was important as both authors share experiences from their families.

The chapters alternate between the authors providing a nice contrast to what each has learned about himself or herself and what they have learned from the aliens.

Landi and David's stories are typical of most UFO abductees, including Whitley Strieber. The typical abduction experiencer has a history of involvement with the paranormal, the occult, and/or New Age beliefs. Most have a strong belief in reincarnation and other Eastern philosophies as well. But the compelling reason for reading their book is gaining a better perception of how unseen alien activity influenced their lives.

Caywood and Mellas are gifted story tellers and related their ongoing ET encounters with every frightening and amazing detail leaving nothing out. Their spiritual conclusions and explanations of why all this ET/Spirit stuff is happening to us and to our world at this time is very powerful.

The Other Sky

Everything they said made such sense. Some readers have told us they will be thinking about this book for a long time. Other readers have said they like to ponder the deeper meaning and insights of their Other Sky Wisdoms. This book IS a must have must read for everyone and not just the semi-curious or causual reader either

 AREA 51.
Monday, November 17, 2008 (2:15 PM)
What about Area 51?

Area 51 is a secret military piece of government land, 6-by-10 mile long, about 95 miles north of Las Vegas. It is also called Groom Lake. The name 'Area 51 apparently is derived from a designation on an old map of the Nevada Test site, found nearby. In the center of Area 51, there is a large Air Force base, near the shore of Groom Dry Lake.

What's its use?

This site was selected during the mid-1950's. It is America's testing ground for secret aircrafts such as the U-2 spy plane, because if is a remote place and has a suitable land for landings. A-12, SR-71 and F-117A flights were also tested in Area 51, long before the government said anything about them.

A secret project which is also being carried there is the Aurora. The Aurora, also known as Dark Star or the Senior Citizen, is supposed to be a plane constructed with alien technology. Bu in fact, no one really knows what Aurora is about.

The base

The base in the center of Area 51 consists of 9 large hangers where the secret projects are probably being held. A supposedly former employee at the base, Bob Lazar said that there was another base called Area S-4 found at Papoose Lake (south of Groom Lake).

Area S-4 is found in the mountains, well-camouflaged. Its doors are painted sand-colored so that it blends with the land around it.

How's Ufos related?

Since the government do not divulge much about Area 51 and what is going on there, lots of rumors have surfaced about the place. Moreover, members of the public and even the president of America himself cannot enter in the base. However, one of the rumors that have long been claimed at Groom Lake seems to interest people more than others. It is the possibility of the presence of captured aliens, underground bases and flying saucers ther. Excitement concerning this rumor has somehow been amplified by Bob Lazar's story. A Las Vegan, Bob Lazar firstly related in a local interview on television that he had worked with ufos at the base in Area S-4 but confessed that he had not seen any aliens himself. Having no way to check his claims, everyone is brought to have his own opinion on its degree of credibility.

Ever since Bob Lazar publicized his story of aliens in Area 51, the surrounding lands have been buzzing with curious tourists, wanting to see ufos. Many of them are convinced they have seen one but there are so many natural explanations for their sightings that it is impossible to judge true ones from fake claims. Moreover, the inhabitants near Area 51 claim to have never even caught a glimpse of a ufo.

Talk about security!

Security in the base is more than in a prison. Guards nicknamed 'cammo dudes' patrol the military border. By the way, they got their names for their camouflaged clothing. They drive around in white Jeep Cherokees on which ther is no markings but government license plates. The cammo dudes avoid any possible contact with people but they are on close watch for any intruders.

There are also sensors along the roads leading to the base. They detect any vehicles passing by and warn the base. As if this was not enough, cameras are scattered all over the place.

If one day you make up your mind to visit Area 51, firstly do not even think about doing that! There are signs saying clearly 'Restricted Area' or orange posts to show that the border should not be crossed. It ever, despite all this you decide to go on with your plan, you would end up with an immediate arrest and a fine up to $600!

Wonder if Area 51 can be seen from any point?

If you are asking yourself this question, then read on. There used to be two places from which you can view the secret base. They were White Sands and Freedom Ridge but in April 1995, the Air Force closed these lands from the public. Today, there is only one place from which you can have a view of Area 51. It is from a distant mountain called Tikaboo Peak, which is 25 miles away from the base. To reach it, you need at least a tiring 11/2 hour hike, but perhaps it is worth it.

 ROSWELL.
Monday, November 17, 2008 (2:13 PM)
Roswell is a city in southeastern New Mexico. It was an ordinary place, among others, until, in 1947, an unusual incident took place. From that time on, this quiet community was never the same…

Explanation and description

On July 4 1947, Roswell became the centre of historical and controversial argument when a UFO crashed on a ranch owned by rancher Mac Brazel. Actually, it was only Mr. and Mrs. Dan Wilmot, both living in that farming and ranching community, who saw a supposed UFO. To Mr. Wilmot it appeared to be about 1,500 feet high, and moving at approximately 400 to 500 miles per hour. He added that it had an oval shape-like two old washbowls placed together. The object beamed as if lights were glowing through from inside.

Using the evidence

It was about that time that Mac Brazel discovered a significant amount of crash ruins while inspecting his livestock after thunderstorms. The debris had scattered over a large area, and created a thin gash several hundred feet long. Some of the fragments had odd physical characteristics. After taking some pieces to his neighbours, he called the sheriff who then informed Roswell Army Air Field. Shortly after, the military blocked the area for days to salvage the remains. In the beginning, it was taken to Roswell Army Air Field and then brought to Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio.

The Government’s involvement

At first, the U.S. Government acknowledged that something strange had happened in Roswell. It then quickly dispatched agents to cover the incident up, and finally denied that anything occurred at Roswell. One local planter found a piece of destroyed craft, and tried to burn it-in vain. The farmer said that the "metal" was exceptionally lightweight - and was absolutely indestructible. Government delegates seized the metal, leaving no evidence of the accident. Some people feel that the U.S. Military still retains possession of a complete Extraterrestrial saucer.

History never change

Despite the fact that the incident occurred fifty years ago, this part of New Mexico is still the home of the most significant and verifiable UFO event in modern history. However, many people are not truly aware that this event was so well known, or that it existed at all. There has been extensive and thorough information on the recovery of wreckage and linked events. Some years ago investigators found a copy of the 1947 Roswell Air Field yearbook that allowed locating eyewitnesses. Newspapers at the time show that during late June and early July 1947, there were a significant number of validated rumours by honourable witnesses-including pilots, of "flying disks" (UFOs). These were not only seen in the United States but also in Canada.

Given theories

Some person declare that there was a mistake and somehow confused a weather balloon and its radar reflector with the wreckage of a "flying disk" i.e. UFO.

UFO promoters believe there is evidence that the "weather balloon" was the beginning of a conceal, now considered by many as the "Cosmic Watergate." Witnesses

The first witness interviewed was retired Lieutenant Colonel Jesse Marcel. He stated, "...it was not a weather balloon, nor was it an airplane or a missile". As to the striking properties of some of the material, he stated, "It would not burn... that stuff weighs nothing, it's so thin, it isn't any thicker than the tinfoil in a pack of cigarettes. So, I tried making a dent in it with a sixteen-pound sledge hammer, and there was still no dent in it".

The declaration of Mr.Glenn Dennis leaves little doubt about what was discovered in 1947. On the evening of the crash, he went to the base hospital. What he saw was totally bizarre to him: “two military ambulances with open rear doors, from which several pieces of wreckage were visible, including one with a row of symbols on its surface”. At that moment, he was noticed by military police. He was threatened and escorted from the building.

Besides Glenn Dennis, other witnesses were frightened off or even threatened by military police. Mac Brazel, who discovered the ruins, was questioned by the military for a week and sworn to silence. According to reports, he refuses to speak about the occurrence.

Sceptic’s point of view

Although, the incident, which took place in Roswell, is surrounded by fake claims and hoaxes, the recognized evidence does not emerge to be so, but a well document happening. According to UFO campaigner and Nuclear Physicist Stanton Friedman..." for obvious reasons, it is necessary that the military and intelligent agencies impose a certain amount of secrecy". In modern years, however, many witnesses agree that the use of government secrecy has become extreme and even perhaps unnecessary.

Conclusion

How can anyone have any personal view if there are so much contradictory data? Can only the paranormal explain these incidents? In spite of all these unanswered questions, all this have really happened and we cannot change that!!!
