I have a Mac running all of the following browsers in Leopard on a Macbook 2Ghz Intel Core Duo, 1GB ram... Safari, Safari Webkit, Firefox 2, Firefox 3 beta, Flock.

My internet connection is 7mbs/1mbs (actual) adsl2+.

Now when I go into LiveTV it's a 50/50 shot whether I can connect to the server. If I can connect to the server I get major lag regardless of browser. Text takes up to 25 seconds to appear in the text box. When I do get on Cam, my image and voice is anywhere between 30 seconds and 2 minutes off from when I talk.

Now you might be thinking "so you have a bad connection"!!

This is the thing I don't. Today I installed Parallels and Windows XP SP3. Using IE I went into the LiveTV room before. I get ZERO lag in text now and voice is about 1.5 seconds behind, which is perfectly acceptable (and pretty damn good).

But here's the kicker, my iSight camera doesn't work AT ALL. I have installed the driver. I have tested it on Stickam, MSN and Skype all with success. But in LV it will not come on at all.

So I'm starting to think it's something to do with the coding of LiveTV.

I'm sure the Admins would have some stats on who are Mac users, and I'm sure it wouldn't be an insubstantial number considering this is becoming more of a vlogging site and with the vlogging tools on Macs but I'm just guessing (and it'd still be less than 20% but that's not the point).

This just doesn't seem to work on Macs at all, at least in my experience.

So this is my question, why does every other website I've ever visited (except Bigpond because the insist on using DRM protected WMV) work on a Mac but not Live Video's LiveTV? What have you done that is so unique that it's causing these headaches?

Seriously I'd love an answer on this one.

Also other Mac users, are you having similar problems with the site?
